The title says's it all about one of the cards I designed for tomorrows Stamp Addicts programme at 2pm on Create and Craft........................I made it upsidedown !
I didn't actually realise until I saw a photo of it on Sarah's blog showing it opening from the left and initially thought it had come adrift in the post, but no I added that gorgeous Noel sentiment upside down so am totally mortified as there's not time to get another one to her. If she decides it's worth using it on the show they will all be having a laugh at my expense, but I've a good sense of humour so will laugh with them for being such an ninny.
So here it is.....card the right way up, sentiment upside down and what miffs me the most is that this is probably my favourite card from all the samples I made for this show.
The backing panel was embossed with a swirl folder and them lots of lovely gilding wax in gold and red, the sentiment stamped onto black gloss cardstock and old gold perfect pearls dusted over.
And here is the left handed photo with the sentiment the right way up.
Bodge up apart, I really love this sentiment, it's so elegant and I think it will get lots of use........hopefully the right way up.
The card at the top uses the tree stamp from the Holly Christmas stamp sheet, stamped with black archival ink and then brayered to create the sky and foreground.
Have a good evening everyone, I've not managed to get into blogland today as it's been busy at work, but hopefully I will find some time later.

Gorgeous Samples Brenda. Upside down or not I love that card, especially like how you have done the background. Hoping to see some of my samples on the show as well. Hugs Lisa xxx
What a shame, it still looks fab tho!!! Hope they do show it 2moz, it fabulous!!! :-) hugs juls
Afternoon Brenda you silly goose.
Your cards are beautiful even back to front. :)
Oops.... it is lovely though!!
It happen to us all Brenda. I spent ages making a card the other day and because the front had a lot of embellishments I had added the insert first. On opening the card the insert was upside down. I ended up having to remove the front of the card and mat it onto a slightly bigger card blank - LOL.

Your two cards look so great.
Hugs, Uta
Its wonderful anyway Brenda and look at it this way (excuse the pun) with such an elaborate font it probably spells something in another language!! xx
Well, I hope they show the upside down version as well...it is a fabulous card...I so love that sentiment stamp...perhaps they will pry it off and flip it round!
To gorgeous cards Brenda. The tress and moonlit sky look fabulous. The second card...wow...just stunning. The black, red and gold colour scheme is so striking and I love the embossing and design.

well, it's still really beautiful, and different =)
Gorgeous Noel. The colours are so lovely and rich. What a shame it's upside down but I'm sure there isn't a blogger among us who hasn't made a similar mistake. I know I have!!
Love the simplicity of the first one, really elegant with that beautiful silver lace.
Take care,
Kat xx
It will definitely feature in the show as it is such a gorgeous card, probably my favourite too.

Lol Brenda, I have done this so many times but still such a lovely card.
It's still stunning even with the upside down sentiment. The colours are amazing. Your tree card is gorgeous too, I love the Winter's scene you have created.

Amazing NOEL work, I really love the font, colours and final touch. Honestly at first I did not notice if there is anything wrong :) Whatever direction I like it.

Oh B,the amount of times I've added my card front upside down,I'm forever having to cut them offf and replace them on new blanks! Do I learn???? No! Love your card anyway, the colours are lush! X
Love the cards, although it feels odd to look at Christmas/winter cards while the Summer is just began...only where is the sun? Looks like a crafty week again! Hugs, Gerrina
the cards are lovely, I love the trees and the lace, love the ribbon on the second one to !!!
Paula
These are both beautiful. I've totally done put cards together backwards before. Lol.
I looked at the picture first before I read the post. And couldn't figure out what the sentiment says LOL. But still a very beautiful card.
Fabulous Christmas creations and hope you don't mind for a little laugh on your upside down sentiment. That is definitely something that would happen to me :)
Hugs,
Eemeli
Love both X-mas cards so much! The second though is my absolute favourite! Beautiful!

I am so glad that I am not the only one who does daft things now and again LOL.
A gorgeous card despite being upside down, and I love the tree one, simple yet so effective :o)

Both gorgeous cards, the second one is my favourite too;-))m
Hi Brenda, wow, two beautiful cards, love the second card and it makes it even more unique upside down (I've done that before), have a lovely day, Hugs, Teresa x
Hehe well it's nice to know that even the most accomplished of crafters have a little bodge job every now and then, I actually don't think it takes anything away from the card opening the other way around though and it's a stunning card either way, I can see why you love the sentiment, the background and rich colours are gorgeous too
Lindsay xx
The whole design is terrific - & I'm so glad you are human & not a robot! The whole decadent look of that card - I can well understand it being your favourite. Super the way your lace trim on the first picks out the snowflakes on the trees too.
Paula (PEP)
HI Brenda, I love the blue/white background you created for the pretty Christmas/snowflake trees. It's funny about attaching NOEL upside down, I think it would be easy to do with those ornate letters, beautiful design either way! I hope you are having a great day, Shirleyx
ah B. your post title really puzzled me at first as wondered what a snow picture had to do Oz? and especially as it didn't look upside down!!
then scrolled down and it was made clear!!
Mind you it is such fussy stamp think you can be forgiven.. What sort of swirls folder is that as it did not come up in my various searches thought it looked Baroque and tried that too.. the TH one is bit like it, but distressed like TH are, which this one is not?? it is just stunning. I have never tried wax either but would love to know name/maker of folder if not discontinued, please B.?
I will send an email. love Shaz in oz.x
Beautiful cards even with the Noel backwards :) love the colours in it
It's still such a beautiful card Brenda and that embossing folder suits the NOEL so well, fabulous.
Happy crafting
Tracy x
So it happens to the best too - well done you Brenda in showing us all you're human too. It's still a beautiful card - they both are, Jx
Gorgeous cards Brenda...I'm always putting projects together ...then I notice I've done it back to front....Yikes... we are only human... Hugs May x x x
Well nobody is perfect, still gorgeous x
Both cards are wonderful.
Thanks for sharing your boo boo, Brenda! I have one on the post which will be published tomorrow, too - I love sharing boo-boos. Seriously, tho, both cards are fabulous, but the boo-boo one is so rich and elegant! I just had to pin it. GORGEOUS colors, shading and textures - beautiful! hugs, de

Hi Brenda, It was a very successful 2 weeks thank you although I am finding it difficult to get into the swing again let alone start on Christmas cards!! These are pretty cards though, I like the Noel one best - it looks so like burnished metal, in fact I like the font so much I bought the stamp! Hope all is well with you, Pauline xx
Fabulous Brenda, as always! Judy x
well I totally didn't notice it either, Brenda! I love your cards, i especially love the noel and the awesome metallic look of it! so awesome!
Two very beautiful cards. It makes your card unique to open the other way - I've done it a few times.Hugs Debbie x
Love your Noel card no matter which way it goes up that background is stunning. Now I'm trying to work out from your title whether it relates to your snowy card and it being winter in Oz or that we are a bit back to front down here, lol.
Gorgeous nodal card, but I also love the snowflake trees and the lace on the first one :-) I do that all the time, sticking the front on upside down. So annoying! Xxx
Haha the iPad changed Noel to nodal! :-)
