Good morning to you all, how's the weather your way ? I've seen snow in March before, but never in the volume we seem to have had the last few days and it's not in any hurry to shift. And there was me thinking it's almost Easter so it must be Spring.
I have my mid month inspiration for Craft a Scene challenge where the March them is 'Tropical Shores', I am not actually on the DT any longer as I decided to step down, but I already had this months work prepared so would like to share it and remind people about the challenge.
I would also like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has joined in my Blog Celebration so far, I am totally overwhelmed by the beautiful and varied creations and humbled by the great efforts to which you have all gone to create such special pieces of artwork. I know there are still some of you planning to join in and as I said in my initial post I am going to let it run for another week or two yet.

My card uses in the main stamps from Stampscapes, although the sentiment is from Printworks and the surfer image one I had specially made to make cards for for our second eldest son who is a keen surfer. I first stamped the images and reflection in the water then masked a sun before adding colour with Pan Pastels and a bit of shading with watercolour pencils.
As always thanks for popping in with your kind comments and hope you have a good week.

such a special card with the two horizontal panels, Brenda! I am sure your son will love it.
Our weather is no good either with extreme windchill of -15 degrees in March!
Oh !! this is so stunning Brenda ...I just love the way you create such gorgeous scenes in your card ...this is something which i have always admired in your cards ..such fabulous work :)
The forecast for Easter is still cold - the coldest ever apparently. I do remember snow in April but this is just silly! Hope you are still able to get around!! Love your scenic card, even though I don't like hot heat, it would be nice to be there for a little while!!!
Gorgeous Brenda, I love your stamping and colouring. xxxx
A lovely scenery card! Love the surfer!

We have sunshine at least this morning - I can remember my Mum taking the 1998 Easter Sunrise Morning Service midst snow! Thanks for a little longer - trying to get mine done, even attempting inky background but husband caught me 'red-handed' .....his words not mine.
Love your scene - the silhouette looks super walking into the summery scene.

Sorry to hear you had to step down from Craft a Scene.
I know you're busy!
I wanted to play along, but I don't have any palm trees to make it a tropical scene.
I've thought about how I can do it, must have more on my mind, cause it hasn't happened!
I'll play next time!
Your card is wonderful, you make such great scenes!

My Kinda scene Brenda, love the Sea and a tasty surfer wouldn't go a miss either lol! Beautiful card, love the reflection. Carolxx
Loving your tropical scene Brenda. Wouldn't it be nice to be somewhere warm and sunny just now. Not that we've had much snow here this year. It's incredibly cold this last while but hardly any snow. Bit of a shower when I was on my way to the Guild tonight but it hasn't come to anything. Not far from here though there have been drifts and blocked roads. We have been very lucky! The pictures and stories from Arran and south west Scotland are horrifying and I know that some parts of England have had it really bad too. Fingers crossed it improves soon. I could see lights in various sheds at the farm next door when I came home tonight so they're obviously lambing. I used to hate it when the weather was nasty at lambing time. You're caught between having them inside and lambs dying with various lamb diseases or outside getting wet and cold and of course doing what sheep are best at - dying!
Take care,
Kat xx
Gahhhhh, you make it sound so easy and I'm sure it wasn't quite THAT simple! But it certainly is gorgeous!

What I wouldn't give to be somewhere warm right now- hey ho, your wonderful card transports me there in my mind! x

Hi Brenda, gorgeous scene! I could really do with a holiday on that beach. Oh, for somewhere warm :-) Maddy x
Beautiful scene card . Love the colors.

Beautiful tropical scene Brenda, it's a little break from looking at snow. It's going to take a couple of weeks before ours melts away. With a little luck, my shrubs will be uncovered enough in a week so that I can get started in the gardens (we have many). Take care, Shirleyx
Wow Brenda this has completely blown me away. Its truly amazing. What a scene and love the reflection. My son would just love this!!
What a beautiful card - makes me feel warmer just looking at it, and so serene too!

Yes Brenda...what is all this snow about? We had more today, it's just not on and we are supposed to be going on holiday on Saturday(very near where the snowplough was buried by snow!) I bet your son loved the great card - perfect for a surfer! Cheers Claire x

Hi Brenda, well I'm back in action after having to replace my power cable for the lappy. So I've been taking a back look at your wonderful creations and of course unsurprisingly they are all amazing. I absolutely love the Tropical shore card and just wish that's where I was at the moment away from the horried white stuff. Hope you are keeping well xx
A wonderful tropical landscape, Brenda, but I especially love the saying, which works so well with your card. Lovely card. I just browsed all your dear friends who have uploaded cards based on inspiration from your blog. How nice in every way - I had no idea how many followers you had until reading your post today! Wow! Congratulations to one of the most sincerely beautiful souls I have had the pleasure of meeting on line. (now, can we go to your fantasy tropical isle?) hugs, de
Beautiful Brenda, as with all your sunset scenes.
Hi B. tell your surfing son that the water is just perfect down here at the moment!!!
The days are still up to 28c and the water is so warm and lovely. I had a swim yesterday at the jetty beach and walk the day before so blessed (photos on today's post too) - love you images great work and card, and great one down below too.
I am going to post a Panpastel post today and link over to you - you are my inspiration for them both, and love them both!! thanks B. you are such a blessing, Shaz in oz.x
OOoo i so wish i was on that island now, what a fabby scene, Luv Sam x
A fabulous card, I love the colours and the reflection looks brilliant

Very pretty. Wish it would warm up here in Ohio.
This is gorgeous Brenda. Love the colours and double panes and that surfer image is such a perfect finishing touch. I'm enjoying a quiet day today and I have actually spent the morning having coffee out on the (north-facing) kitchen terrace with some neighbours. The thermometer on my office terrace (also north-facing) reads 20 °C and there's not a cloud in sight, so you won't hear me complaining about the Greek weather. Wishing you lots of sunshine, too!
Marianne x
I want to run aways to a tropical shore like it's shown on your card. I've had more than enough of rain and snow. Very beautifully made! Hugs! xx
