It's that Labrador again

Good afternoon to you all, an extra post from me this week as I made a bit of a boo-boo last Sunday and posted my Craft a Scene challenge mid month 'Snowy Cottages' inspiration a week early, so I thought I had better come up with another piece for today.

To create my winter cottage scene I use quite a few stamps, the trees and path to the right of the card are part of a Sutter Stamps image but as I thought the Stampscape cottage would nestle nicely into it I masked sections of the image I didn't want to use before inking........... does that sound double Dutch ? In case it does I'll try and explain a little clearer, I stuck pieces a post-it notes over the sections I didn't want to stamp them inked the remainder of stamp but remove the post it notes before stamping otherwise the ink on those would transfer onto my card.

The fence to the fore of the scene is also from Sutter stamps and the doggy is the Labrador from Andover Stamps................those that may missed it the last time I used it, this company make nothing but dog stamps and just about every breed you could imagine and they were even kind enough to custom make this one with out the oval surround whioch should have been on it. I coloured sky and landscape with Pan Pastels and highlighted here and there with watercolour pencils.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Hi Brenda, I love your warm and welcoming cottage scene - so beautifully made and coloured. Its interesting that you put the post-its over the stamp itself - when I tried masking before (disastrously) I was putting the stickies on the paper - will try this out thank-you. Have a lovely week. Oh wow Brenda, what a gorgeous scene. really clever stamping and I love the way you have captured the misty pastel colours of winter. Right I'm off to check out those dog stamps, I wonder if they do a naughty lab puppy trying to dig a hole in the lawn? If not I have the perfect model for them lol
