My new 'wheels'

It's Saturday morning which can mean only one thing, a new challenge at Allsorts and this week the lovely Jo would like to see 'Black and White' projects, so I am one happy bunny as I love working with that colour combo.

But first I want to share a picture of my new mobility scooter, is it neat or what ? Certainly not the cheapest on the market, but it's so natty as it folds into itself and fits my little boot a treat...............and there's still room from a bag or two shopping, so what more could a girl ask for.

Daisy seems to think it's a new play thing and had great fun chasing it up and down the path on it's test runs yesterday and took up her place as unofficial guardian of the scooter....or could be she's just a poser. But with her sitting next to it you can get a pretty good idea just how compact it is....................and take note no basket, those silly plastic things on most of the mobility scooters just freak me.

Now my DT card and unusually for me there's no stamping, instead quite a lot of die cuts. I started by sticking a piece of DP onto some white cardstock to give it more rigidity before cutting the aperture. I stuck pieces of very narrow black card onto the reverse to create a lattice effect and mounted onto a piece of white linen cardstock and the a black base card. I added leaves and swirls, a rose made from organza ribbon and stick pin, quite a simple card but quite effective I think.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I can see why you are so taken with your new wheels, it's a really nifty design.
I see you've also embraced the lattice technique, love the card, black and white do look so elegant when done properly and you certainly know how to do it.

Thrilled about your scooter & isn't it neat. Daisy looks like she'll guard it extremely well......animals really have such characters!
Love your card - the spots on the paper pick up the spots on the butterfly's wings beautifully & I love that decorated pin with the rose. The placing of your patterned paper is brilliant with those swirls in the corners.

Morning Brenda!

Lurve the new wheels, I can imagine many a happy shopping trip on those and as you say, nice and compact! Ooh those plastic baskets are perfect for scooping all of your buys into before fighting your way to the tills!

Sadly, I know there will still be plenty of ignoramusii out there that will do the lemming dive infront of you expecting you not to hit them and then of course theres always their big shopping bags that will get swung in your chops as they bustle past you because clearly you are not there but I do live in hope that all of those awful people will give you the space and respect that you give them.

Im with you B, bring on the black and white challenges, they are the BEST!

Hello to the adorable Daisy and I can almost feel those gorgeous warm squidgy ears from here! Give her a bear hug from me! And that little terror too while you're at it! It bet she is having a whale of a time and I wonder what she thinks of your new wheels!?!

Have a lovely weekend B

btw the laptop is at a local computer shop. Chap thinks it might just be the keyboard. Cheaper than a new laptop! Pessimist here had even checked out prices of a new one!
