Inky workshop and reminder about C&C

Good Morning all, hopefully Blogger is behaving and this will pop up on time as I am taking yet another workshop at Sir Stampalot today for some blog buddies, plus a few more ladies as well, so an inky session is planned as usual.

A final little reminder that you can see Stamp Addicts programme on C & C at 10am and 3pm tomorrow (Sunday). It's the last Christmas programme................how scary is that............ so don't forget to tune in or remember to record the show for lots of inspiration.

This week at Allsorts Nicola is hosting her first challenge with us and has come up with the super theme of "Alter/recycle something", one that fits nicely into my comfort zone. And Nicola will be at my workshop today so it will be wonderful to get to now her.

So for my project out came the corrugated............. much to hubby's annoyance I have a habit of ripping pieces off boxes and packaging and have a growing stash of it, but you never know when a piece will come in handy and it's so useful for vintage feel projects. Here I have used it as my base for the piece distressed with TH tea dye, then randomly stamped with various worker stamps and Penny Black 2827K Song Bird as my main image.

Another share of this cute little Gnome which is on one of the stamp sets from Stamp Addicts. I so enjoyed working with these cute little fellows. And what a fun sentiment on this one as well, They are designed for New Home cards, but I did some in reds and they become Santa's little helpers very nicely.

Enjoy your weekend and whatever you have planned, lets hope the weather is kind.

Hi Brenda, great cards, as usual. Love the vintage feel of the first, great use of corrugated cardboard and chuckled at your description of the backing stamps as 'worker stamps' - I have a number of these in my collection too. The gnome is just so cute - and I will most definitely be recording the shows tomorrow. I'd love to be attending your workshop but I wasn't even fit enough to attend the craft retreat I had booked for this weekend ... sigh. Elizabeth x

Both your cards are just lovely! I really like what you did with the corrugated cardboard...neat! That gnome is so adorable too - just look at him! Awwww! Enjoy your weekend!

I had to chuckle over your corrugated card squirelling - my husband now presents me with his empty medicine bottles & watches in amusement as I cut the tops off to make little trays for "in use" gluey toothpicks or needle glue tip unblockers, spare oddments etc...... He recycles margarine tubs without a second thought these days! Hope you've had a wonderful inky time. I've been wielding the wallpaper paste brush. Love the worker stamps background in the first with the rustic colours. I'm slowly becoming a gnome convert.......

I love how you have torn the corrugated card in the first card.....that is what I should have done with a card I created yesterday. Again what a fun gnome....you do these so well Brenda.

Beautiful cards Brenda, and thanks so much for today, it was a joy to be there learning new stuff and properly meeting you!
I don't get the opportunity to attend classes often as my OH gets distressed if left with the kids all day!

Hi Brenda
another two lovely cards, love what you have done with the corrugated cardboard. I had to laugh when I read that your husband (like mine), get's annoyed with your stash of cardboard, mine tries' to place it in the re-cycling before I get a chance to hang on to it lol.
