All creatures great and small

It's Saturday morning and time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Tracy Mouse is looking for creations which 'Feature a Creature'. Our sponsors are Crafty Ribbons and Deedees Designs.

My card uses some of my scenic stamps along with some from Sheena which I just had to have as I knew they would work so well together with the others in my stash. The highland cow........I decided it's a 'she'........ in the foreground was stamped and masked, then the background stamped, clouds added with a mask and background coloured with Pan Pastels. The cow has been coloured with watercolour pencils.

Highland cattle are huge by comparison to modern day cattle and it's lovely to see them on a nearby farm who have a couple of dozen of them in a perfect setting with the village Church in the background of the fields where they graze.

Have a good weekend.

Love your cow, such beautiful animals these highland cattle. This is the type of scene that has me itching for my stamps... Unless I'm mistaken this is a stamp of Corfe Castle in the background, is that from Sheena's range?

I love these hairy cows! We've got some in the field near us Brenda and I think they're really cute!! (No accounting for taste is there - or so the other half tells me.....)

A Big Hooray for your DeeDee's Digis' sponsorship! The post title intrigued me, because All Creatures G&S was a show we watched with our DD when she was young, and I still enjoy watching those shows. Well acted, well written..great characters. I am loving your shaggy highland cow with those crags in the background. You've achieved some fabulous texture with the pencil strokes and I love the ppastel backgrounds. It's just awesome. Well done Miss Brenda. TFs & Hugs

Oooo what a magnificent creature and such a stunning scene too - i remember being at Adam's farm( the farmer off of Country File) in Gloucester and he has one of these fabby beasts.

I was thinking of you yesterday - as i put Create And Craft on, as it was a Tattered Lace show and they were laughing about 'Gorgeous George die' and i was wondering if you had been lucky enough to play with him ;-), Luv Sam x
