Christmas Robins and an introduction

Morning to you all, it's mid way at Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenge where we are following Lynn's Red and Green theme.

My tag above uses Visible Image's matching Robin stamps and dies onto a stencilled background, red stickles for the berries and the word Robin from the same stamp set. Lots of snippets used for the Holly and Robins on both of these so popping to the Snippets Playground withe the above tag. Mixed Media Artiste would like to see a Christmas slant so hope this fits the bill and it's If it's Chrismassy at Christmas Kickstart, Sisterhood of Crafters and Krafty Chicks. At Inkspirational they would like to see stencils used.

My ATC uses the same sets mentioned above but the smaller Robin which makes it a very useful set. At Sweet Stamping it's Christmas so adding my ATC as it is at Crafty Calendar.

Now the introduction, below our new family member who we have called Fleur. We had no intention of having a new puppy and certainly not so soon after losing Holly, it just didn't seem right. But as people keep telling me, some things are are meant to be.

Last Monday we were asked by our Vet if we would consider homing a Lab puppy who had not fared well with the breeder. It all happened very quickly within just a few hours so we were totally unprepared, but agreed when we saw her and knew she needed lots of love and attention.

The Vet weighed her at just 2.85kg, all skin and bone, at nearly nine weeks she should be double that. She had a high temperature so onto antibiotics along with a high protein diet. She had been left alone in a loose box at the stables and clearly had little human attention, she didn't even know how to take a treat from our hands, but learning quickly and yesterday up to 3.4kg, she's such an affectionate little thing and already bouncing about with her toys. Thank goodness for Amazon who have been beating a path to our door the last few days with all the essential puppy needs!!

Your robin tag and ATC are both brilliant . . . but Fleur has stolen the show!

A new playmate for Dudley in the Snippets Playground. Look out Tilley - you have competition!!!

I’m truly delighted you have a new companion Brenda. Your vet is extremely kind and knows just what he’s doing. I’m sure little Fleur will thrive under your care and help you to recover too. Win win xxx

Your tags are amazing Breenda, but you had me in tears with your story of Fleur. She is a Christmas miracle and so adorable. I know she'll flourish in your home (and I can't believe the breeder just left her in the barn like that). What a cutie, and thank goodness for Amazon. Our Maddie didn't know how to be in the house when we got her 11 years ago and now she wouldn't know what to without having a house. :) hugs-Erika

Tag and ATC both gorgeous- perfect inspiration for the red/green theme but way outshone by that sweet pup! It's good to know that she's getting the love and care she needs -thanks to you and your lovely caring vet. She's doing so well to gain over a pound in weight in just a few days, at this rate she'll soon be round and plump as a puppy should be.

Your tag and ATC are both bright and fabulous Brenda, but Fleur tops them. Holly will always have a special place in your heart but I'm sure there is plenty of room for more. She looks so sweet sat there. I just don't know how people can be so cruel.

Ah B, robins are cute... your English robins are quite different from our Australian robins which are red, vibrant black and white touch of feathers. Love your tag, pretty additions .. but yes like others I rather think Fleur might have stolen the limelight. What a beautiful puppy, and am glad you have it, Fleur will thrive in your loving hands. Praying for your health too B. God be with you all this Christmas as we rememberJesus birth, and in the year ahead.
Prayer hugs, 🙏🏻🤗Shaz in Oz.x

The robin tag and ATC make such a striking pair, each one capturing that classic red and green warmth while still feeling fresh and full of movement. The stenciled backdrop gives the larger tag a lovely sense of depth, and the way the snippets come together for the holly and birds adds so much charm. The smaller robin on the ATC works beautifully too, showing just how versatile that set can be.

Fleur’s introduction is incredibly moving. She sounds like a little soul who landed exactly where she was meant to be. It is heartbreaking to imagine how rough her start was, but the transformation already happening under your care shines through. Her quick learning, her growing weight, and her playful spirit say everything about the love and safety she has now. She is a lucky girl, and it is clear she will thrive with you.
