All new at Allsorts

Good morning to you all, we have a new challenge at Allsorts where Liz has selected the theme of New - Baby, Home or other new events. We have stamps from AALL and Create to be won.

Above the card I made for eldest Grandson and wife when they moved into their new home, it was in late September so there's a bit of an Autumnal feel to it. Using large letter dies I decided on an eclipse card cutting the letters six times to give height and use a favourite AALL and Create Pinecone stamp which still seems to be available from some stockists, inking direct to stamp with Ecoline pens.

This was one was a sample made months ago when I was still a TRR/Highlight DT, the dies and matching reflections are from the Just in Case collection, a stencilled background and a computer generated sentiment.

One for Christmas Kickstart challenge, I'll confess it was totally inspired by Chris, I've made few cards the last month, with all that's gone on my heads not been in the right place. But I saw Chris's card using her new Card-io stamps and although I don't have the same ones, decided to give the few I did have a long overdue airing.

Great cards Brenda, the new home eclipse card is striking, your new baby giraffe card is stunning-so cute and like the stenciled background, great winter scene on your Christmas card!

Your eclipse card has such a striking presence, the layered letters give wonderful depth and the pinecone detail adds a perfect seasonal touch. I really like how you carried that autumnal feel into the design for your grandson’s new home. The stenciled background on your sample piece is beautifully balanced, and the reflections from the Just in Case collection add a polished finish. The Christmas Kickstart card feels fresh and heartfelt, especially knowing it was sparked by Chris’s inspiration—sometimes those moments of creative connection bring out the most meaningful work.

These are really lovely cards. I like the new home card and how you stamped over the letters. It's a really interesting look. And those giraffes are so sweet. They're perfect for a baby card. And that's a wonderful Christmas card. I'd be tempted to give it a try too. Hope you have a great rest of your weekend. hugs-Erika

More fabulous card Brenda- considering all you have been through recently you would have been justified in sitting these challenges out- most people would have done! But no, you come up trumps as usual. Really love the new home one, a beautiful inset design, the giraffe family make a sweet new baby card. The snow scene is beautiful too- these stamps are so versatile and can make the same designs look totally different. I consider it a real compliment that you were inspired by my design and thanks for the mention.
