Hello all, a quick post with a card for the current Snippets Playground challenge.
Like lots of us I love Sunflowers so was more than a little excited when the new Lavinia Twilight Tea collection landed here a week or two ago and I've had fun creating with them. Above using the set of three Sunflowers and a set of the leaves. Lots of cutting out which was a bit time consuming but I was happy how it turned out. The gold circles made but drawing round two different size dies using a glue pen and brushing Cadence Gilding Tilsen. Some soft stencilling in the background, words down the leading edge stamped with Versamak and brushed over with two colours of mica powder, finally a sticker sentiment.
I would also like to link up to Try it on Tuesday whose theme is Summer Blooms, Beautiful Blossoms following the A/G route and Four Seasons challenge where it's all about Summer and finally Ellie's new Garden Party.
I even remembered a photo of my snippets which were used to stamp the Sunflowers.

This sunflower creation is positively radiant—each bloom seems to dance with golden light. The layered elements and meticulous cutting bring such depth and movement to the design. I'm especially smitten with how the gilded circles echo sunshine and add a magical glint. The mica-stamped border feels like a delicate whisper along the edge, balancing warmth and elegance beautifully. What a joyful celebration of summer.
A gorgeous arrangement of the sunflowers with that beautiful touch of gold and the text makes for a wonderful card.

It takes a while for they are in the shops here, but I got them in the mail yesterday! Hope to find some time on Sunday to get them inked! Enjoy the weekend!

Brenda, thanks so much for stopping by my blog! It really lifted my spirits. In fact, I was just mentioning you to another friend who recently was undergoing another health scare. I talked about you and Verna Angerhoffer - what great positive role models you are - and how much your love for life instills within you a love to do as much for others (and yourself) as is possible. So you just never know where the "ripples of your essence" can flow to help inspire others.
I'm in love with your sunflower card! Thanks for the design tip regarding those circles! FANTASTIC idea, and looks really great! I'm going to use my dies in similar fashion soon. There is nothing like the softness of mica powders and versamark. I'd forgotten to use my powders and chalks for backgrounds. Thanks for the reminder and motivation to get out those old supplies and enjoy them once again! hugs, de
