Wings and Tails

Morning Peeps, a new theme is starting today at Allsorts, it's 'Wings and Tails' as selected by Ellie along with the chance of winning two prizes, an AALL and Create stamp set or three image from Ruth Hamilton Design .

I have used AALL and Create Follow your Own Path stamp set which also happens to be the same set one winner will receive, well not literally, they will get a brand new set I assure you! The Woodpecker features on my card, but there's also a Toucan and lots of worker stamps and words.

The background stamp from Fully Fledged was inked with Oxides and spritzed water, the arrows stamped and coloured, same with the Woodpecker but I cut that out and placed over some 'straw', word and small birdie from the same set and washi tape to finish.

My second card is a simple Christmas card, no inkiness for a change other than the Gelli Plate panel onto which I stamped the large AALL and Create Pheasants and heat embossed with detail copper EP, the bottom border is a stamp from the same set and the sentiment a lovely old wood mounted Penny Black.

We hope you will join us this week and share your Wings and Tails.

  6. What a fabulous woodpecker. I do think A&C miss out not showing the images in colour because I would not have thought to use this set as you have done.
Your Christmas card is wonderful and has a real vintage feel to it.

  7. Lovely wings and tails here Brenda. That pheasant is a magnificent fellow embossed in copper. We have a lot in the field at the moment. The neighbouring field is planted with a maize patch and kale and is the rearing ground for the poults. They had the first shoot of the season last week which is always fun. Bo and bumble are particularly enthusiastic about it all, Wills is very good with the guns but one of the paying guests, Symba (Arabian Endurance horse) is less keen and self exercises for the duration of the drive xx
