A Summer Sunflower

Morning everyone, time for another challenge at Allsorts and this week I am your host with the theme of Summer. This weeks winners will receive a set of Stampendous summer themed stamp set available from Oakwood and three images from Ruth Hamilton Design

It's going to be another short post as it remains slow going here, been in bed on and off all week, a colon infection to add to everything else. But my new MS nurse seems very good and scheduled visits from a physio plus an ultrasound - at home, I had no idea that was possible. More help from her in one day than the GP in several weeks, he remains impervious and has failed miserably to offer any support.

Above AALL and Create Friendship Florals onto an Oxide background, some stencil work and A&C script stamped and embossed with detail copper EP and little birdies stamped onto a label.

My second card uses Ruth's new St Johns Wort, printed onto vellum and coloured on the reverse with Distress Markers placed around an oval with one of my own stamps in the aperture.

Have a lovely weekend.

  9. Gorgeous cards as always Brenda! The bird silhouettes give a lovely edge to the sunflower collage and the coloured-on-the-reverse vellum gives such a pretty soft feel to your flowers in the second card. So sorry to hear that it's been a horrible week for you. Thank goodness for your new MS nurse but a big boo to that dreadful GP. Are these people still getting paid and if so, how can they sleep at night?! Sending get well wishes, Vicky x

  11. I love how you put the birds randomly on your first card (or is it a page?); They look good with the flower; you can almost smell all the typical summer aroma's!
And beautiful the loose colouring on your 2nd; so different...
So glad you have the help of a -good informed and as it seems well into all the possabiliyies- nurse! Hope you ask her everything you want to know; sort of 'pick her brains' so you can go on and that will help you to get sooner there where you would like and can be with the ms in your body!
Sending some positive energy (think no sun is needed; it probebly is warm with you too) Hugs, Gerrina

Sei sempre ispiratrice!
Un grande abbraccio! Abbi cura di te!
