Morning Peeps, I've completed my two week screen rest after my second eye op, at the moment all seems to be going well, my distance vision is much improved and I can see to drive again !! Close vision is poor but should be helped with glasses once my eyes settle. The consultant seemed fairly confident that what he's done should relive some of the strain on my optic nerves and give me a couple of years reasonable vision, but warned the right eye is deteriorating quite quickly and is the one I'm likely to lose sight in first, but overall not all bad news and hopefully not in the short term.
Now onto our new challenge at Allsorts where our host is Ellie who would like us to use "Dies and/or Punches' on our creations. We have a new sponsor this week WOWVOV, do pop over to their web site and have a browse there are so many different products to compliment our crafting.
My card is a Chocolate Baroque Hochanda TV creation using Brushos on the base layer, then a Penny Black die - it's quite small but is very easy to line up and extend as I have done here. The Magnolia was stamped with Versafine black, coloured and cut out and placed over the lattice. The little Butterfly is also CB well it's actually quite a large one initially but was stamped onto shrink plastic and magically transformed.
Happy weekend all.

Hello Brenda, good new about your eyes and that eye rest has helped too, don't be overdoing things though.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning card, beautiful floral image and gorgeous colours, lovely background too, Kate x x
Good news about your eyes. This card is lovely as always. I love the shrink plastic butterfly. Haven’t made any for a long time. StormDennis is raging away outside. Just lost a small tree in the back garden . Snapped off completely about a foot up from the ground. Have been outside and tethered it back to the trunk to stop it from blowing around the garden and causing more damage. Hope you are staying safe. I think this storm is worse than last weekend. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear about the success of your eye surgeries, Brenda. That is GREAT news! I find I need larger print these days, and folks who use the smaller fonts on their blogs make it painful to try to read. Sadly, I skip over most of the blog post because of that. Your beautiful "tulip magnolias" are lovely! Our tree just finished blooming! big hugs, de
ReplyDeleteA really beautiful image and a super die that you have placed it on and just love the gorgeous shade of pink that you have used for the background.
