On the catwalk

Morning Peeps, so very sorry I have not been round to visit anyone the last couple of weeks, I had a second procedure at hospital this week and it's really taking it's toll on me on top of the op the previous week. Fingers crossed I will soon get my act together and back to normal............whatever normal might be !!

It's Saturday which means it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts and this week Helene is our host and would like to see some 'Fancy Folds. Our sponsor is Crafty Ribbons.

My card is one I made a while back for Create and Craft  and uses Tattered Lace's shutter card die which makes it so easy to cut the base and mats. The two images are from TL's Rare Earth's Fashion Ladies collection, paper pieced in the same papers as the mat's on the card and coloured with Spectrum pencils.

I really hope you can find time to join us this week and also pop over to the challenge blog and check out the inspiration from my temies.

  3. Ooooh la la! This is gorgeous Brenda. I love the papers that you've used and the way that you've dressed your lovely ladies in them. I've only made one shutter card like this and had to cut it all out by hand. Thinking about it, that's probably the reason that I've only ever made one :). This is truly beautiful and those ladies would grace any catwalk. Enjoy your weekend and get well soon. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

  4. Such a useful die! I have cut my own once, well twice since I did 2 of them, but found it ever so difficult to get it right. Cuts must be exact for the card to fold properly and not go wonky, plus it takes for ever to cut all the little rectangles of paper!
Love the TL papers, romantic and Vintage too! I hope you will get some respite and feel well enough to enjoy the summer days. xx

  8. Hi, Brenda! Please only concentrate on your artwork and recovery - and let your dear body BEST so it can heal to the best of its ability. I know for me any invasive procedure triggers other problems, and I imagine it can do the same for you. So please be at peace regarding the visits. No one can do better that their best, and our "Best" can change from hour to hour. Be good to your body -- that's what your friends want.

In the meantime, I love your card! The images are so dainty and feminine, and your paperpiecing is spectacular! I've not made a card using this template yet, and it surely is pretty! WONDERFUL and GORGEOUS -- all at once (Hey! That's kinda describes YOU, too!) love, de
