Another batch of cards made some weeks ago, this time for Chocolate Baroque which you will find on the DT blog here following our twice monthly posts of 15 minute cards.
Apart from the blue card further down all have been made using images from CB Butterfly Flourish stamp set and I hope show that you can crate very different cards using just that one set.
I stamped the large Butterfly onto a background created by randomly brushing watered down distress inks and then colouring the Butterflies with the same distress inks.
Here I sponged distress inks through a mask made using a sheet of acetate and circle dies, then stamping the little swirls and sentiment which some from CB Words of Inspiration set...........I so love this set and use it over and again.
A simple background using distress inks and a honeycomb mask, the image stamped with black archival is CB Cornflower and coloured in with Spectrum Sparkle pens.
A very simple card here using another of the swirls from the same set, stamping it onto a strip of card using purple archival ink, matting and layering the panel , some ribbon and a few silver gems to carry the silver of the ribbon and matting.
Many thanks for taking a peek today.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Brenda. These are all gorgeous. That 15 minute card is really lovely! The circle stencil card is I think my fave as I love the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThe last card with the slim stamped image is a great example of just how to use these type of stamps. I have always felt stumped when it came to chosing a design for these type of images.
Just reread my previous comments and realized I forgot one important word...Not...hahahha
I was trying to say that it was not from a glass or two of wine, but rather from my scrambled brain when I make spelling and grammar mistakes!!! Somehow I screwed up that screwed up that sentence.
love your amazing cards!

Well I don't know if I've ever made a 15-min card, Brenda! I fuss with mine way too much! You're awesome! These all look amazing for quick and easy cards! Will have to take a page out of your book! Hope you're feeling okay these days. My husband has recently been diagnosed with MS and is waiting to see a specialist to find out treatment or whatever else is recommended. Fortunately for him, his is a slow-progressing type so he's only had a few symptoms and they've been sporadic. But very scary. At first we thought he was having a stroke. This happened a few times and it was very frightening. Sending hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've been having tons of fun getting all sorts of inky! I really love those vibrant butterflies against the splash of a colorful background! I also love those colorfully sponged circles of your second design - well scratch this - ALL of your designs deserve complimenting! You are such a talented cardmaker!
ReplyDeleteQuickie cards is why I started stamping, so glad to see you popping out some beauties! These are all just lovely. Love the brushed color on the first one, great effect. <3 Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful stamp set--love all your cards, Brenda! The first one especially grabbed my attention as I love using the same inks for the background & to color the butterflies!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful! Love the colours and the CAS-style ofcourse. My favorite is the circkle-card; I keep on finding circkles so great... Hope the warm weather is good for you! Hugs, Gerrina
