Blue and brown right down to the finger tips

Our lovely Jo is our host this week and is challenging us to use colours beginning with the letter 'B' on our artwork. Our sponsors are Yours and Mine Papercrafts and A Passion for Stamps.

Also a little reminder about my 5th Blogaversary celebrations, if you don't know about it check out the post here, lots of Spellbinders to be won.

Naturally brown and blue came immediately to mind for my first card for Jo's theme, I love the colour combo that much that I had my nails that colour this time....................my fortnightly manicure is my little treat and I have indulged in quite a few colour combos recently, I rather liked the graduated pink and purple with a bit of sparkle of course, then there were the Christmas snowflakes.......hmmmmmm choices.

Anyhow, on to my card which is a mixture of Sheena, Stampscape and Lavinia stamps all stamped with archival ink and then of course Pan Pastels for the colouring.

And the nails...........pretend you didn't see those short stumpy fingers, like me they are vertically challenged but the nails are all my own !

And a second card using Ruth's Clarkia image coloured with watercolours pencils and matted onto some Spellbinder.................and this is B for Burgundy.

Whatever you are up to this weekend I hope it's a good one.

  15. My fingers are somewhat vertically challenged too - never mind the rest of me!! Anyone know what 5 feet looks like? I digress……….your Bs are delightful, funnily the first is just very 'you' for Blue & Brown spring to mind if I were to pick your particular colours. The burgundy looks brilliant against the white & I love your scattering of gems.
    Take care

  17. love your sparkly fingernails, Brenda! I envy that you can have such long nails and still be able to craft the way you do. It would be like running in spiked heels to me! Your watercolor pencils look wonderful! I like how you have reversed the colors in your die cuts! Great way of using the positives parts like a puzzle! hugs, de

  20. Beautiful cards Brenda I love that peaceful scene but that beautifully coloured Clarkia image is my favourite. I just love the colours you've used.

Love your nails too. I love nail varnish and have (too) many colours. Unfortunately since I work in the post office it wears off almost immediately.

    Have a lovely weekend.

Off to catch up on missed posts. I got a little behind with visiting as I was on a campaign to sort out and organize the house and garage...just working on a few finishing things in my scrapbook room and then will be done. Last month was the sorting and purging...this month is the organizing the newly found space...what fun!

My hands finally settled down and are now their regular level of sore...for awhile I could not colour...what a dray...but greatly improved now. Hope all is going well with your health...I know you have had some setbacks lately..
