Meet Pixie and a bit more Penny Black



Happy Monday Peeps, hope you all had a good weekend and those of you in the UK enjoying this lovely weather.

The little lady above is Pixie, a ten week old Jack Russell who joined the family gang this weekend. She's such a tiny little thing but seems quite capable of giving the large dogs a run for their money and has already sussed that if big guys play gets a bit too rough for her she can slide into spaces they can't. I will do my best to get a picture of the whole gang one day soon, but it's easier said than done keeping them all still for long enough.


I am still loving the new Penny Black 4237K Awakening so here's another share of another card I made with it. Again I inked the stamp direct, this time with Aquamarkers, spritzed with water and stamped onto Fabriano watercour card, inked the edges with TH tumbled glass and sponged through some sequin waster to give a bit of background interest.  The DP is Bo Bunny, some embossed and sanded Coredinations and a piece of cheescloth in the background and ribbon.

    Beautiful creation. Love all the layering. Pixie is the cutest 4-legged friend ever. I just love jack russels - they are such intelligent dogs and very lively and on the go.

    Isnt she just a poppet! I can almost see her scurrying off to grab a breathe midst the big boys play! She will be so nimble and fast once she's fully grown that they will have such great fun together!

    Stunning card Brenda too, the detail of the sequin waste is so subtle but really does give it something special!

    Looks like you will have lots of fun with that little bundle. It'll be great fun watching them all interact.
    Love the way you've used the ribbon to tie it all together - I mean the colours not literally & the sequin waste sponging is delightful.

    Firstly a beautiful card Brenda. Such a lovely stamp and what a good idea stamping through sequin waste - hadn't thought of that one. Well isn't Pixie just gorgeous - bet she's into everything - hide the shoes, my retriever and beagle are always taking ours into the garden - chewed my new gardening clogs the other week.     Pixie is really cute. I'm sure she'll be able to keep the big dogs in order! I think I'd have bother getting a photo of my 2 together. One of them on his own is difficult enough.
