Just the one share of a card I came up with for Stampalot. I masked the edges of a piece of gloss cardstock then stamped with black archival ink using Art Impression stamps masked the images and brayered and sponged with Adirondack due inks eggplant, black and butterscotch. After removing the masks I added the little robin and coloured his breast with Aquamarkers.
And a little bit of exciting news, I was one of the three winners of Stix 2's........the glue and essential craft accessories people.......... Christmas competition and this morning received a fabulous package of goodies from them as my prize. But afraid I can't share a picture of my work as I don't have a picture of it, I tend to take these things rather in my stride and didn't think for a mo I would be a winner and in any event my entry was more of a sample for one of their demo days than an intended competition entry.
No more news on the Royal Mail front apart from an automated response to my complain yesterday morning, I guess they work at pedestrian pace and it might be a while yet, but I will be sure to let you know the outcome.
Thanks for popping in and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.
Congratulations Brenda. And lovely card as usual :)

Lovely & striking - I am becoming quite fascinated with black & white plus another colour or two. Love the slash of red on her hat. Well done with the win - you give so much it's brilliant you have something for yourself.

Fantastic card Brenda, I love the little touches of colour. Congrats on your win.
ReplyDeleteDon't hold your breath for a reply from Royal Mail, it'll probably take a while for them to get back to you. I had written a longer comment about your RM/PO problems and it was there when I wrote the little additional one but it's gone now. Basically I said that I'd had my own problems with them and so had a postie I was speaking to. That was years ago when Catriona was in London and a correctly addressed parcel came back to me! I would advise everybody to put a return address on everything, even a letter or card. Then if it isn't delivered it should be returned and not sent to some anonymous lost property place. But remember if you want a COP it's your right. It's available for a label or stamps processed through PO system and gives PO name, time, date, weight and service used as well as price. A COP for eg a letter you've stuck on a stamp doesn't have as much detail, just postcode and 1st line of address. Hope this helps you and anyone else who posts a lot or even a little.
Thanks for the link for the golfer stamps.
Take care,
Kat xx

ReplyDeleteDon't think I'd ever seen the couple on the bench before, great stamp. Of course, you know that I love your brayering. Congrats on your new goodies, sort of like a mini-Christmas! Post of luck with the RM, don't worry I'm not holding my breath on that one!
