Hairy bikers meet the secret garden

Morning folks, hope your week is going well.

Play here was interrupted by bad light yesterday when my vision went AWAL for a couple of hours, happened before but still scary stuff, but seems to be back to normal this morning, so will share what I intended to yesterday.

I was totally certain after seeing a lovely card Janice made last week that I definitely needed the TH fence and chains, although I am yet to be convinced that heavy grunge fits with my floral style.................so lets pretend the chain open the door to the Secret Garden.................well there has to be a bit of fantasy in there !!

The image is one of the gorgeous new La Blanch stamps called Wild Flowers which I stamped onto Fabriano watecolour card and coloured with Aquamarkers. I cut the fence and lock from Coredinations purple cardstock, inked with versamark and embossed with TH distress powder milled lavender..................after recovering the contents of the pot from my trouser legs and desk........no idea how that happened.

My second share is another Stampalot sample using one of the new Christmas stamps from Hero K5524 Winter Scene. I brayered through an oval aperture using the Speedball and Adirondack denim dye ink, then stamped the scene in black archival ink and added corners and border punched with Spellbinders Parisian Accents.

All of the new Christmas stamps and goodies will be on sale for the Christmas launch over the Bank Holiday weekend, lots of demos lined up including Lindsay Mason on Sunday 28th August.

Gorgeous cards as always and the grunge contrast on your first card looks really fabulous as it gives loads of texture to your secret garden.

  13. Oh wow, these are stunning Brenda. So sorry to read about your vision problems, what a pain when you are wanting to craft :-( I have blurry vision in one eye due to a damaged optic nerve after several episodes of optic-neuritis caused by MS, thank heavens we have 2 eyes and the problem only happens with one of mine. Take lots of care of yourself xxx

  17. OH My I'm glad your vision is okay now, that really must have been frightening. Your cards are both beautiful. I’m not into TH and grunge but you have created a lovely scene. I love your second card, only wish I could master the brayer just half as well as you do. Such a beautiful background and winter scene. Be well
    Blessings Bernie

  21. Your Secret Garden Fantasy is an interesting concept. Love flowers with the AquaMarkers. The Hero Arts card with that wintery moon is a lovely Christmas card - I especially like the way you've used the little waster bits as accents down the right side.
Take care with your eyes & glad it was only temporary.

  22. Brenda I think your secret garden card is beautiful and I personally think the TH products look amazing on it. Your Xmas card is beautiful too. Just so you know, I was losing my eyesight a lot last year and it was put down to migraines....but I was losing my sight without a sore head as well. Thats what mine was put down to anyway. Losing my sight was very scary but we've got it sorted now hopefully. Hope you are ok now. Lee xx
