Are you ready for the World Cup?

Morning all, we have a new challenge starting today at We Love Stamping where Anesha has selected Sports and Hobbies as our theme, we have sports themed stamp sets from Visible Image for two lucky winners.

With the World Cup starting this week......you either love or hate footie, I fall into the former category......it's a fitting theme. My card above is a nod to the Liverpool Reds, several of our squad will be representing their respective Countries in the competition. The focal image is Visible Image Kick Off, background is Fluid which I inked with green and red (Reds home and goalie kit) DI's spritzed with water, then stamped the Footballer in black, word from the same set plus envie to match. Will probably go to youngest son as he's also a Red. Linking to Sweet Stampin' Something for the Boys and 613 Avenue Create ask for a favourite passtime/hobby, don't play it but love watching a good game of fottie....several times a week during the season!

This one with a musical theme using Visible Image Make Some Noise, in the background Fluid again, inked the same way as above and image stamped with Versafine Clair, coloured with Zig pens and cut out and Melody Wave die. The sentiment is made up with words from the same stamp set. Adding at Crafty Calendar Men and Boys and Maculine at Dragonfly Dreams

Snowy Days is the new theme at Christmas Kickstart so popping to link up with this one. All stamps are Lavinia, Pheasant, Holly, Seasonal Words plus a few worker stamps, Pan Pastel background and snowy elements flicking a Posca pen. Adding at Peace on Earth,

After another MRI seems I still have issues with two other cervical discs, but given the infections of the last three weeks both consultant and I prefer to avoid further surgery for now. So scheduled for some alternative treatment to see if it helps ease the neck and arm pain which continues, meaning I still can't type or sit for long periods.

2 brilliant cards with the Visible Image stamps, the silhouettes against the backgrounds are so striking! The Lavinia scene is of course to my liking, as usual... Hope your pain goes away, Brenda. x

Great sports and hobbies related cards - I have to admit to being in the HATE camp where football is concerned.

We've been hearing a lot about the World Cup our way too since some of the games will be outside of Boston. I think your card is a great nod to this event. I love the splatter on it and on your banging birthday. Hope the alternative treatment helps. backs are such a difficult issue, and even worse when secondary things happen too. Take care. hugs-Erika

A very atmospheric football card with a great combo of stamps and colours, as indeed is the drummer card. The pheasant card is so pretty, love the colours you used and the framing.

Great masculine cards Brenda, those stamps are just fabulous! And a gorgeous wintery scene too! I'm in neither group when it comes to football (soccer). Used to pay more attention to it while I lived in Europe as here it's ALL about American Football so there is very little coverage on football (soccer). I do plan on watching some of the World Cup :)

What superb sport and hobby cards Brenda. Since the boys left home we don;t tend to watch footie very much apart from the big occasions. I am off to buy that pheasant and Logan!! xx

Oh bummer! So sorry they didn't work on all the problem discs. Was hoping you'd be much improved now. Your cards are wonderful! Love the soccer and musical cards with those great backgrounds! Gorgeous Christmas card scene!

I love how dynamic your sports themed cards are with the bold splattered backgrounds and strong silhouettes, and the winter scene with the pheasant has such a calm elegance with its soft colors and snowy details that give it a beautifully quiet mood.

I do admire your fortitude in continuing with being creative Brenda, whilst being incapacitated. The first two are amazing cards, with lots of colour and movement. I can feel the vibes in each. The Christmas card has a feeling of peace in it and is beautiful. Sending my very best wishes. x
