What's new

Morning all, it's time for our mid way inspiration at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations, our themes are New and I Spy with prizes from TonicWhimsy and Visible Image.

My 'New' is a recent purchase of an Andy Skinner stamp and I convinced the little boy has a New Kitten! Stamped, and coloured, then a stencilled wall and a Lavinia tree to build a little scene with him out playing with his new kitten. Would like to link this one to Stencil Fun where the optional extra is Four Legs. Popping to Crafty Calendar's Anything New challenge.

I've two B's, the first above for Blooms, this one using Visible Image Colourful Life and Precious Life stamped together to form one stem of flowers onto a masked central panel, a few additional splats stamped to extend the design, the flowers coloured and some soft stencilling in the background. One for the Floral theme at Dragonfly Dreams and another for Ellies' Garden Party 11 and Bright and Beautiful at Sweet Stampin'.

B for Beautiful and Blooms on this one. Snowdrops always herald the arrival of Spring Flowers and often popping up through frosty or snowy ground, just as mine are doing here with a flurry of snow coming down. They are AALL and Create, stamped, covered with masking fluid and ink applied to build up the background and flicked with water. After removing the masking fluid I coloured with a white pen, a couple of Lavinia sticker words and Posca pen flicked over to create snow. Glitter applied to the tops of flowers and ground. Hoping this fits one or two challenges at Inkspirational Shades of Blue, Colour Hues Blue and White.

Purrfectly pawsome 'new' card, I have a cat that would spend hours playing with a ball and catch like a dog...although on a smaller scale:-) and at least she always brought the ball back unlike the family dogs at the moment! 2 beautiful bloom cards x

Of course it's a new kitten Brenda, and that's such a lovely stamp, ones with lads on are rare. Our snowdrops have just opened but, I suspect, they might be a little bit bashed about by the morning, it's thrashing down and blowing a hoolie xx

What a beautiful trio of cards, Brenda. I love how you added so much to the first card to create such an evocative scene. The second card is so cheery and reminds me that summer will come again eventually. The final card is my favourite, though. I adore snowdrops, and it was such a great idea to use masking fluid on the flowers so you could add the background. I have some fluid somewhere if it hasn't dried up, and you have inspired me to try this technique.
I hope you are well and that Fleur continues to thrive.
Hugs,

Dear Brenda, I stumbled across your blog and your beautiful cards and would love to ask for your help:
In this post "https://stamping-fantasies.blogspot.com/2025/12/scenic-at-allsorts.html"
at the very bottom, you show a magical tag with the sweet Lavinia fairy and a cute Lavinia mouse.

I'm looking for this tag die with the scalloped edge and intersecting stitched lines.

Please, could you help me and tell me where I can buy this lovely die (manufacturer, item number, item name)? I would be so grateful.

Please email me at stempelgaudi@email.de
Thank you so much and best wishes,
hopefully greetings from Momo
(sorry for the broken English, I used an internet translator)

Such a joyful trio of makes, each with its own distinct mood yet all tied together by your thoughtful stamping and scene‑building. The little boy and his new kitten feel so alive in that softly stenciled setting, and the Lavinia tree adds just the right touch of whimsy. The masked floral panel is beautifully balanced, with the merged stems creating a striking focal point and the gentle stenciling giving it a lovely sense of depth. The snowdrops are especially enchanting, glowing against that cool, textured background with the snowfall drifting around them. A wonderful celebration of New and B themes, and a gorgeous showcase of your versatility.
