A new month means new challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations. At WLS our theme has been selected by Emma and is Sun, Sea and Sand and a prize from Lisa Horton Crafts. At SS Avril has selected Summer Blooms for her theme with prizes from AALL and Create.
For my WLS share I have used a Penny Black stamp called Paradise (40-691), inked direct to stamp using Ecoline pens, extra colour and shading added with pencils and Pan Pastels, a stencilled sun and a Lavinia sentiment.
This one uses AALL and Create Roadway Vista die set (78) and Sunny Splash (1250) stamp set, an inky background picking up distress ink from a piece of acetate left from a previous background, then some stencilling and colour added to the focal image with Ecoline pens.
Have a good Sunday everyone, they say the heatwave in the UK is returning this week so keep cool.
Two super stamped creations encouraging entries into the challenges this month. Love the die you used for the floral one and the beach scene looks idyllic

ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards Brenda. Love how you captured the sunshine on the water in the first and those black frames make everything pop on the second.

The beach scene is so peaceful and beautifully done — it really captures that perfect summer vibe. I love the soft colours , it feels like I'm right there listening to the waves with that fab sentiment too. Love the vibrant colours on your pretty second card.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are lovely and summery and very atmospheric. We have just had a huge downpour that has overwhelmed our gutters and flooded out garage. This we are going to have to get the gutters checked - so that's another thing on the list! xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous beach scene Brenda and your floral card is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, Brenda. I especially love the first one, such a lovely peaceful scene.
ReplyDeleteLiz xx
Gorgeous, floral one best though, so pretty. Xx
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in both and with the warm weather it should be great to be on that beach! Great work! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pair of cards, Brenda and I particulary love the first sand and sea card. You've coloured the scene beautifully and I love the sun and rays. You've inspired me to find my neglected pan pastels too. I somehow missed you last post and am still marvelling at the black squirrel!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well,
Hugs,
Carol x
Both beautiful! Stay cool! Hot here, too!
ReplyDeleteThe beach scene is utterly captivating—it radiates that peaceful, golden hour glow that makes you want to step right into it. The soft gradients of sky and sand are dreamy, and the stenciled sun adds such warmth to the composition. The floral card bursts with energy—those vivid colors and inky textures create a dynamic garden moment, beautifully framed to draw the eye in. Both pieces feel like the very essence of summer distilled into paper and pigment.
ReplyDeleteOh my Goodness Brenda - your beach scene is so realistic, as though could almost step out onto it... love it.
ReplyDeleteAs ever your flowers are exquisite
Blessings
Maxine
