It's the first Sunday of November which means it's time for our new challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations and this month our themes are Christmas and Make it Magical....... seems like the perfect opportunity to double up your entries. We have prizes of Christmas themed dies and Lavinia stamps.
Above a card not unlike the one I shared last month for my Guest Designer spot over at Rudolph Days, but this time I went with red and green, the Fairy is Eve, her friend is in a set called Large Hares and Forest Leaves at the top, love this stamp, Winter Berries and Wild Vines, a moon and lots of sparkle. The theme at the Lavinia challenge is all about Sparkle so one I'm entering there.
This one using a selection of AALL an Create stamps including a Robin which is a favourite of many of us, the sentiment is one of my own Christmas Christmas Magic set available from Stamp Addicts.
The crash of Create and Craft has left many of our favourite retailers in precarious positions owed money going back months, not forgetting the presenters and backroom staff suddenly faced with unemployment. The majority of the industry plan new products months ahead intended for future shows, so most are looking for new outlets to sell products. Sarah from Stamp Addcits and a group of other companies have formed Craft Suppliers Direct which you can find here. It's only a small start but as one said to me this week, anything is better than nothing as we try to build a new future.
Both cards are truly magical Brenda, your choice of colours and stamped on each is fantastic

Your cards are just so gorgeous Brenda. You really do do fairies well and your robin is looking so happy in his holly wreath! It was very shocking and sad to hear about Create and Craft and I have already joined that group, which is a great idea!

Lovely, lovely cards Brenda and I especially love that darling robin. The C&C situation was a great shock and I hope that this group can make some good out of a bad situation xx
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cards, again with a lovely magical feel to each. A fairy-themed festive card is fun but the robin perched on his wreath has captured my heart! It's always so sad when craft companies go under isn't it and unfortunately there has been a lot of it lately. I wish all who have been affected by the demise of Create and Craft all the very best as they move on. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Brendaz, I love the robin inside the wreath and as azlways your fairy card is gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePat xx
The card with the Fairy Eve, Large Hares, Winter Berries, and all that sparkle must look enchanting. Supporting Craft Suppliers Direct is a commendable effort, and your dedication to the crafting community shines through.
ReplyDeleteHow sad that a business went under leaving all those people in the lurch. At least I think that's what you're saying. Both your cards are truly magical!
