Morning everyone, a new challenge at Allsorts and this week I'm your host and my chosen theme is Getting Sentimental but there's always the A/G option. Our September prizes contains goodies from Craft Stash and Highlight Crafts.
I've always loved inspirational quotes and was so fortunate when a stamp company wanted to carry those I created along with Create and Craft. The one above is from my Believe set.
This card went to our eldest Son after he received his 'gong' at Buckingham Palace in May, the sentiment is very appropriate to his personality. Stamps are all Lavinia, Open Dandelion, Wild Summer Flower and Orchard Grass, a part masked frame and colour added to the focal images, very simple but I think effective.
This one features my all time favourite Penny Black sentiment Dance, Sing, Love (2695J), the frame is a Sweet Poppy stencil coloured with inks and the sentiment stamped into the middle and matching envie, this went to one of our Granddaughters, in fact it was her Dad who received the above card.

Love the dandelion card and the way you have made it frameless. Stop keep tempting me with the sweet Poppy stencils! This is an absolutely gorgeous card.
Two lovely cards with equally lovely sentiments Brenda. The par inked frame on the first looks lovely and is probably something even I can manage with my new inky brushes!! x You my get multiple comments, I've had trouble leaving them on several blogs just recently.
Lovely cards. I particularly like the first one. I must remember the trick of the part masked frame. As you say, simple but so effective xx

Love the cleanliness of your Dandelions card. I have the very same set and how is it that I hate the weeds in my garden but love them on cards?! x
Beautiful cards as usual, I'm very sentimental today, in UK for a funeral, so catching up while in hotel, x
Such lovely cards and sentiments
Great cards, and love both sentiments!
Absolutely wonderful card for your son and love the one his daughter got!
Brenda, I wanted to stop by after you posted such a nice and helpful comment on my blog (myasperations). I appreciated it! While here I enjoyed some time admiring your creations, and even did some web-research to learn what it meant when you noted your son's "Gong" in this post. Sounds like quite the honor for him... and your whole family. And I especially love that you made a card for his daughter. (You are the kind of grandma that most kiddos wish they had!)
