Morning Peeps, time for our mid month inspirational posts at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations where our theme options are Masculine and a Summer mood board. Prizes this month come from Highlight Crafts and Craft Stash.
Above my masculine make using a rustic wood slice, covered in gesso and inked around the edges with Oxides, part of the large pine branch from AALL and Create's Pinecone, it's an A4 set and the little Birdie is another image from it. Words from Power of the Word. I thought I would share at Ellies I Spy challenge with the new theme of 'Something for Boys and Men'.
Following the mood board colours and randomly inked and brayered oxide background, stencilled sunrays, the focal flower from A&C Flower Trio, a few extra circles from various sets to extend the pattern and the 'F' from Textured Florals which I use time and again. The word Sun stamped using Garden She Wrote and the little Cockerel from Bright Dawn.
I would like to enter this one into the current Path of Positivity challenge, their optional theme is By the Sea, whilst my card is not sea or beach related I hope the fresh sunny colours following our Summer mood board give a hint of days spent there.
And here is one for the new Butterfly Challenge, a circle version of the square one I shared, it's one of my DT samples using the newly released Tattered Lace Chantilly and Twine collection featured on Create and Craft last week. A bit of a curve ball this time with a bingo grid and I have tentatively gone with 'Die cuts, Flowers and Spots', I say tentatively as the spots come in form of the pearl dot spots on the new TL frames used on the base.....as mentioned in last weeks post, these match the original pearl dot frames many of us have from years ago.
This Summer we have seen many more Butterflies which is so encouraging, for the last few years our neighbouring farm has left a couple of acres to grow wild to provide a habitat for wildlife, we now do the same. The "Butterfly Man" from the Cambs/Beds Wildlife Trust comes out to catalogue activity every now and then and believes we have set up a natural pathway between the two areas of land proving conducive to breeding habits. This year we have also seen a return of Hedgehogs on our land, something sadly also in decline in the UK and hope they will settle and breed.
If you've not joined in yet then there's still plenty of time as both challenges run until Wednesday 30th August.

A great selection of 'nature' projects. Well done for encouraging the butterflies too
I love the shape of your first card! And this one and the bright flowercard are so beautiful! Hugs, Gerrina
A lovely variety of inspirational creations today Brenda, the cards are bright and beautiful, completely different styles and techniques but both full of summer delights. The rustic bird hanger is stunning.
xx
Love all three projects. The first one stands out! Have a great weekend. Anesha x
How beautiful is this card and definitely inspired by the sea with the beautiful blue and warm sun! The composition of all the elements is so lovely and the sentiment so positive! Happy you shared with us at Path of Positivity! ~Katrina
Wow so very pretty and creative cards
Lovely set of makes today Brenda. I particularly like the sunny yellow one. So cheery xx
Two lovely cards and I love the wood slice and your choice of stamps works so well.
Hope the hedgehogs stay and breed, we have one who visits the garden for a snack on his nightly rounds, so cute.

Wow, these projects are gorgeous! Such a great selection, and on different textures. My fav of them all has to be your rustic wood slice Michelle x

Gorgeous decorated wood slice Brenda, I have never seen these before, it is really beautiful. Also love the colours and composition of your floral A&C card, the stamps from different sets work so well together. Finally a very pretty card with die cuts … what a fab and varied selection of projects

C'erano barbagianni, allocchi, passeri, scoiattoli, tassi... Ora si vedono solo topi, gazze e poiane.
Un grande abbraccio, buon weekend!
Back again as I forgot to say .. thanks so much for joining in this month with Ellie’s “I Spy” challenge.

This is a beautiful trio of creations! I just love that wood plank with the great design, and the fun in the sun card is perfect for summer with those pretty colors but that butterfly easel card is just stunning! NJ on everything and congrats too on your conservation efforts to bring back the wildlife and butterflies!
Beautiful creations Brenda. The woodplank one is very stylish and a very good idea. Marlies
Gorgeous makes, Brenda! The wood slice is a lovely idea for decor. x
Oh my that rustic slice is amazing! I really want to try stamping on a wood slice. Yours is so gorgeous and makes me want to try soon. Great images you used. I love both your cards too.
WOW! I love your rustic wood slice and it's wonderful images. Just fabulous. Your green mix card and stamps and so lovely, great sentiment too. Then your very special circle step card is so beautiful Brenda. A marvellous selection of cards.

Fabulous masculine wood slice. The other two cards are both masterpieces as usual! X
Your rustic wood slice looks amazing - a beautiful little scene. Fab inkyness on your next card and such a pretty easel card. The butterflies are more prevalent this year - great to hear you are encouraging them too.
Gorgeous makes Brenda, particularly that lovely wood slice. The beautiful colours on the second certainly shout seaside to me. We have had lots more butterflies in the garden this year and particularly down our lane where the hedge hasn't been cut for many years xx
Such gorgeous creations Brenda. I really love the rustic wood slice one.
Hugs
Cathy

Fabulous projects Brenda. Loving the wood slice! The zany colours in your second card really pop and give a lovely summery feeling. Your circle easel is just beautiful, love the colours in the flowers!
Beautiful cards Brenda and I love how you've decorated the slice of wood.
Sue xx
The rustic wood slice is absolutely stunning Brenda, decorated with the Pinecone set - and I'm going to have to extend my wish list again! Love the sunshine card and the pretty floral easel card too.
Interesting to read about your neighbouring farm. There has been an increase in these initiatives here in Bucks too. Wide wildflower margins on the fields are common now and public walks and parks are sowing wildflowers too. There have definitely been an increase in butterflies and other insects in recent years. Hedgehogs are quite common where I live too, and Eva and I often see them trundling about when we go out for our late night constitutional. Vicky x
Such beautiful creations Brenda, I am loving each one but my favorite might just be the first piece using the rustic wood slice! So great to see you sharing with us at I spy with my little eye!
Leaving some space to grow wild is such a wonderful idea! It's always a joy to see butterflies! I always have a flower bed with Zinnias to attract them (and hummingbirds), unfortunately this year they aren't even blooming yet. We had a bad drought through most of June and it took them forever to grow. At least I still have my butterfly bush so they are still around the backyard, but just not as many. How cute that you have hedgehogs too!! I don't think we have them here in the States but have fond memories of them growing up in Europe!
Love this pretty card with your choice of straight down the middle for your pick a row. Yes we have seen an abundance of butterflies this year too. The whites are very much in evidence at the moment. Thankyou for coming and playing in the butterfly garden with me. Hugs Mrs A.
What a great collection you have for us here, Brenda! The beautiful wood slice had my heart this time - I always love to see birds on a creation. I'm pleased to hear that butterflies are rising in your neck of the woods this year. We have yet to see as many here, possibly due to the summer's inclement weather.
Hope you are well,
Hugs
