Recent problems publishing comments

Most of us have probably encountered the recent problems with publishing comments when we go to peoples blogs.

Well one of my challenge teamies came across a possible solution whilst she was out in blogland, I have tried it on my own blog and it certainly does seem to make comments much quicker to publish. So this is the information she passed on:

In the settings on your blog select 'posts, comments and sharing, select 'comment location' and from the drop down menu select 'pop up window' then save. 

It's as simple as that. Apparently blogs have 'embedded' as  the default option, but I have tried commenting on my own blog with both options and the 'pop up window' most certainly is much quicker.

As I mentioned above I obtained this info second hand, but I am sure the originator will be happy for us all to share as it will make life much easier for all of us, so please feel free to lift the above and share.

    Thanks for the info, Brenda, I thought I was the only only having problems. I've changed my settings, so hopefully I now have a pop-up window for comments on my blog. xx

    Thanks so much Brenda! I have had the same problems commenting on blogland and I have seen that blogs with the pop up comment form are quick as always, you are in right! I have changed the settings on my blog, thank you for the precious tip!

    Thanks, Brenda. I tried to figure out how to change my setting yesterday, but couldn't. Now I see you have to go under settings to find what you said & it worked. Sadly, I much prefer embedded comments, but it's not worth the extra time. So frustrating this suddenly changed & obviously blogger isn't going to fix it!

    And here was I thinking it was just me and my computer, obviously not.... It's been driving me crazy, so will try this straight away. What I have been doing is instead of waiting for the comment to publish as on Crome it opens in a new window anyway, is go back to my own blog and visit the next blog while the previous page is slowly loading. Don't know whether this makes any sense, but at least it made it a bit more bearable...

    Hi Brenda,
    I noticed a lot of bloggers had changed to pop up commenting boxes.
    I did mine sometime ago as someone told me to try it as some peoples commenting wasn't coming through, and some people who email me personally could not comment at all.
    I have noticed the that the pop comments box is much quicker.
    Will pass this on in my next post.
