Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where Kath has chosen the theme of 'Gingham Style'...............yeee haaaaaaaaaaaw........sorry !! Our sponsor is Digistamp Boutique and we also have a second prize of a Bo Bunny paper pad. There is lots of inspiration to be had over at the challenge blog so please do check out what my talented teamies have been up to.
Thanks for all your kind words the last week or two, not seeing too much improvement still but as they tell me I am impatient and these relapses can last for weeks, which of course I know, but doesn't help ease the frustration of everything taking so long. I am just hoping the pain eases before our holiday otherwise might have to resort to a totally liquid diet once we get on that ship...............who said so what's different ? So now on the my pre prepared post.
For my top card I have used one of the images from our sponsors Birthday Word Art as the focal point of my top card along with Tattered Lace Pin Dot Frames and Trimcraft DP's, not a lot more to say about it really as it's mainly matting and layering of the pretty elements and super greeting.
The base card of my second card is Tattered Lace Fancy Centre Stepper cut from a mustard colour card to coordinate with the gingham DP's which are Bo Bunny. The focal image is Penny Black Hello Sunshine which I inked direct to stamp with Distress Markers and spritzed with water before stamping. Gingham ribbon and some gems to embellish.
Hope you have a good weekend.
Two beautiful cards. You always have the best dies! Loving that die you used to make the step card...it is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe word art card is great...lovely dies and pretty soft colours for that card!
Beautiful cards - the first one is my favourite as I love lilac.

Two beautiful cards. Hang in there Brenda and try to enjoy your weekend! Judy x
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards Brenda, that side stepper is lovey, keep well, xxx
ReplyDeleteDifficult to be patient when you're in pain... I don't know what round the clock pain feels like but I don't think I would bear it well. So liquid diet, if it helps... go for it! Love both cards and as usual the Penny Black image calls out to me. Finally a bit of sun here, I hope it lasts so I can put the washing out for a change!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous both of them, but love that top card especially! Fabulous colour palette and beautiful plaid paper. Love the edge on the dies too. Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteMorning Brenda, sorry to hear things are still not quite right with you but I hope things will get better soon.. Your cards are beautiful as always love the dot frames and sentiment there so pretty, I just love the style of your second one with that gorgeous sun flower stamp and it looks so well on your stepper card with the yellow gingham..
ReplyDeleteHave a good Weekend
Hugs Babs x

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I think you're repeting yourself at the bottom of the post or perhaps you're just saying good morning twice to be extra polite ;). Have a great weekend and I hope the relapse goes away soon.

A fabulous pair of cards Brenda and gingham is a favourite of mine, especially on Christmas cards. The colours of the first gingham paper are so pretty together and the yellow gingham on the second gives a bit of sunshine...just what we are lacking in real life...although it has stopped raining here, at the moment, I won't hold my breath!! xx
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards, loving the gingham - I've got lots of gingham card so might try to enter!
