Flowers and Pearls

It's Saturday morning and time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Mervi would like to see 'Flowers and Pearls. Our lovely sponsors are Hobby House.

Apologies that I am still rather tardy on the blogging side of things, I am mega busy with the next collection of releases from Tattered Lace and also working on another rather exciting event coming to C&C soon, can't say more at the moment. So afraid blogging is having to take a back set at the moment

I guess some of you saw the programmes yesterday when the pick of the week sold out in the first hour of the show. Not sure what Nancy is going to do for the rest of the week, but I am not surprised they sold out so quickly as the shutter card dies are amazing, I had such fun working with them and know they will make more appearances from the team in upcoming shows.

I am always happy to work with flowers and for my DT card I used a recently acquired stamp from Stampendous called Classic Roses. I stamped the image and heat embossed with detail clear powder and coloured in with my Chameleon pens and sponged some distress ink though a stencil. The DP's are both I think from BoBunny, a few years old and not certain though. I machined a scallop patter round the edge of the green base layer, matted the image and piece of contrasting yellow and finished with some roses, seam binding and trailing ivy leaves.......again not sure the make of the die.......I really should keep the packing or at least make a note.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

  17. Hi, Brenda! I love that your machine stitched that beautiful scallop to frame your gorgeous roses! The colors are bright and cheerful! I'm afraid my stitching would not be as "straight" as yours LOL but it sure would be fun playing with the fancy stitches. The corners are so perfectly aligned!

Can hardly wait to see what you do with all the new TL dies! Hope you are doing well, Brenda, and not in too much discomfort. xoxox

  50. That really is spring on a card Brenda! Love the stamp and the gorgeous stencil detail is fab too! Don't worry Brenda I know you are very busy with internet issues right now. I will try to pop on more often but all I've been able to do is blog, link up to challenges and go lie down again - I'm getting very frustrated with it all Karen x

  51. This is such a lovely image of roses, and it's beautiful colored in the yellows. So warm & spring like. This looks like an older wooden stamp that I have, and it's one of my favorites to color. Your coloring is just perfection. Love the soft greens, the dimensional 'real rose bouquet' with the trailing ivy. Like the way you've done the matting --- just a very fresh & welcome look on this pretty card. Love it! Wish I could enjoy those fantastic card programs you folks have in the UK. I love my Tattered Lace dies too. TFS & Hugs
