A very good morning Peeps, it's finally time to announce the names who have come out in the random draw for my 5th Blogaversary celebrations. I was trilled to see so many of you joining in and would like to send a big thank you to each and every one of you and much as I would love to send a gift to all of you I am afraid I just can't stretch quite that far, so as promised here are the seven lucky Peeps and it's quite cosmopolitan I am pleased to say.....................
Congratulations to you all, please mail me with your full names and postal addy's so I can get your Spellbinders in the post to you. Should any prizes remain unclaimed by Sunday 9th they will be re-drawn and new winners notfied by mail or comment on their blogs.
OK that's the business side of things dealt with and now for some crafty shares using the new Enchanted Spring designs which Ignacio at Nicerane very kindly allowed me to work with ahead of their release. There is something so alluring about the deigns and I was instantly drawn to them and have thoroughly enjoyed working with them and there are more in the pipeline. If you would like to buy this design sheet you will find it by clicking on the thumbnail below.
The one at the top was made using the waste left from cutting a TH Cabinet frame for the card below, I had the offcuts laying on my desk for a day or so and knew there must be a way of using them and came up with the idea.................about 2am as you do if you dream cardmaking as I gather many of us do..........of making them into a type of tunnel card by scoring a piece of card for the base and adhering it to the back of the aperture section. I printed the design three times and decoupaged the little girl and added die cut vines and roses around the front and am actually quite pleased with the finished result. And the good thing is it flatens to go into an envelope.
And just the one more and again a photo beautifully enhanced by Ignacio using another of the images from the same design sheet along with Kaisercraft DP which picks out the image colours perfectly.
Hope you all have a good Thursday.
This is just beautiful Brenda - I love the toadstools and how you used them as an embellie - this somehow reminds me of Alice (in wonderland) - a real work of art hugs Judith x

ReplyDeleteHa, even though I don't make a lot of cards on a weekly basis, I'm almost constantly thinking about it. It's a wonder I manage to get any work done, but then, I have to earn some money before I can spend it again on crafting supplies. Anyway, I love how your first card turned out, Brenda, including the leafy frame. I'm also drawn to the warm colours in your last card.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful ideas you come up with at 2am. Brenda I have missed seeing your beautiful work. I hope all is good for you and congrats on five years.

ReplyDeleteThe way you combine these images with die-cuts & other stamps is remarkable. I think that Tunnel Card has to be my favourite here with the depth that is created by your tunnel mechanism as well as the die-cut fronds of foliage & flowers adorning the front, the cluster of mushrooms is a lovely touch too.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners too & thanks again for all you do Brenda.
