Happy New Year everyone, I hope it's going to be a good one for you all.
I thought I would share one of the scenic cards I created just for fun and I thought it only fitting that I kick start the year with some of my favourite crafty things including Pan Pastles, masking, trees and inspirational quotes.
Plus an easel card I made a couple of weeks ago using an image from Nicecrane's new Sweet Birthday design sheet. And according to the press release I received the other day for the upcoming CHA trade show in the States I was ahead of the predictions as yellow is going to be the 'in' colour this year along with vintage inspired bold patterns. So can't wait to see what yummy delights are coming our way this Spring.
The Nicecrane images are beautifully detailed so all I just decoupaged the flower in the little girls hand and made some more pansies using one of Ruth's punch and stamp sets.
Happy New Year.
Happy New Year.
Two fabulous cards but my favourite has to be the scenic one

Happy New Year Brenda!
ReplyDeleteLoving both of your creations, beautiful scene on the first one and I love what you do with the pan pastels. Fabulous easel card too, yellow is such a fun and cheerful color. Glad to hear it's going to be one of the "in" colors this year!
The range of colours in your oval background is so real yet striking at the same time & I love that flock of birds flying out of the oval panel. The pine in the foreground is very regal & I particularly like the way its weight is balanced by the sentiment. Beautifully elegant.
ReplyDeleteYour second just shows how versatile you are for the style is utterly different. The way those shaped pansies mimic the large one she is carrying is just brilliant & I love the way your vine picks out the greens in the image.
