Foxes, fur and feathers

Morning everyone, time for our new monthly challenges............would you believe I had my post all ready to go for a good couple of weeks ago, then for reasons known only to Blogger it totally disappeared so this is a bit of a hasty one.

At Stamping Sensations our new theme is Fur and Feathers, at Penny Black and More we are going Pink, Pearly and Swirly and at Craft a Scene we want to see lighthouses in Let Your Light Shine.

The card at the top is my fur offering using a gorgeous new stamp from Sutter Stamps..............my plan to refrain from any new stamps for a few months lasted zilch seconds and I have to say I love this one. It is coloured with Pan Pastels with a little shading with watercolour pencils.

And a rarity for me as I am entering some challenges:

Pan Pastels - Animals
Raise the bar - Animal Attraction

The pink card above is really quite a simple one using dies, ribbons and lace and a Penny Black stamp for the focal sentiment.

Next my feather offering using a Crafty Individuals stamp and the same colouring system as the top card. I kept the colours and embellies rustic to compliment the image.

My lighthouse scene uses an Art Impression lighthouse, Sutter Stamps waves and rocks and cloud cumulus from Stampscapes and you got it.......Pan Pastels.

And finally, a really simply stamped card using a Penny Black sentiment and a baroque corner from Flonz Craft, some pearls and ribbon.

Have a good Sunday everyone, I am slowly getting round to everyone, only short comments so far but I'm building on it.

  14. I particularly like your Baroque Corner creation but it is the Mallards Scene that takes my breath away, though it was a close run thing with your foxes.
Hope the weather is better where you are. We were going to sweep up the leaves but the forecast for sunny weather was most definitely wrong.........
    Take care

  17. Hi Brenda,

Well what can I say to this display of your work. Just stunning everyone of them. I particularly love the first one with the Sutter Stamps (these are new to me but I am heading to their site as we speak to have a look at what else they have) this is a fabulous image and the pan pastel work on it is extremely good. You are so talented. Jo x

  20. These are all fantastic Brenda! I really love the duck one, it's such a perfect countryside card, so beautiful :) I love the two cards with the sentiment as the focal point, they're both such nice words...The foxes are gorgeous too! Reminds me of a foxcub around here that i suspect was orphaned, it used to hang around our front door and eat the food we put out for the cats - alongside the cats! Such a cute thing to see :)

Hope you're having a nice weekend and that both you and Holly are doing well.

  54. What a lovely collection of cards and so varied. Thank you for your visit, and I quite agree we certainly need some proper summer this year. Some of the farmers reckon they need a good drought to drop the water level enough to get on their land. Meanwhile, more pictures of sunshine are welcome. xx Maggie

  55. My sister the rider will love that first card with teh foxes...It has a hand draw look about it! I always email her with the horsey/fox/dogs and farm type cards! teehee I gues I am working on her to give card making a try!

The second is so effective...that die is just gorgeous with that sentiment on it. You really tied the black elements in. This is a real eye catching card.

The third has a great masculine feel and the fourth...oh my...your scenes are always created with such attention to detail.

Your last card is simple yet stunning!

  59. My goodness, you have been busy! We had a fox just like one of those plodding across the yard this morning. Broad daylight and bold as brass. He's after our hens so we have had to keep them closed in their run for a while, guess the foxes are hungry this time of year. Your cards are all beautiful. My favourite is the CI stamped one with the ducks. I love the colours you have used, and the texture from the raffia and fabric. Just wonderful! Thanks for sharing. Maddy x
