Butterfly Flowers

Good morning Peeps, just a mega quick post to remind you that Sarah and Vicky from Stamp Addicts will be on Create and Craft TV this afternoon at 2pm.

They will be demonstrating with both old favourites as well as some brand new stamps..................I made these two cards with one of the new stamps called Butterfly Flowers, needless to say I loved working with this one and will share a few more samples with you shortly.

I kept both cards fairly simple as it's such a beautiful image, stamping with black archival ink and colouring with Derwent water colours. On both cards the butterfly and larger flowers are decoupaged to give extra dimension. You will find this stamp and all the others that will be featured on the show here.

Many thanks for dropping in and whatever you have planned I hope you all have a good Tuesday.

  17. When I first looked I didn't realize these were the same stamp as your colouring has made them so different. It's hard to choose a favourite but you've made me eager to unearth my Derwent watercolouring pencils to sit & play with. Your butterfly border in the second one is lovely & soft & perfectly accented with the black for the bodies picking up the black markings in the stamped butterfly.

  49. Beautiful cards, Brenda, and looks very similar to a digital stamp (at least, I think it is a digital one, must have another look) I have had for a while and not really been sure how to colour. I am glad to see that someone else likes Derwent pencils too. Thank you for your visit and kind comments on my picture. Our daughter did like it and, being a crafter herself, scrutinised it carefully to see exactly what I had done. Have a good week. xx Maggie
