It's my week to showcase another card for this months Garden theme at Craft A Scene.
The news on my word recognition programme remains positive and I am slowly catching up with everyone. There are a few foibles I still need to sort out on the pronunciation, but I thinks that's more down to me that than the programme. But from what I have seen thus far I would certainly recommend it to anyone with dexterity and similar problems.

My thinking behind this card..............bearing in mind I do live in a bit of a fantasy world, is three elegantly dressed ladies attending a quintessentially English Garden Party. It is also the card I have made for our eldest daughters birthday in a couple of days...............I'm safe, she doesn't blog.
I used some masking to create the sun..............you all know there has to be one or a moon................and dusted Adirondack inks to create the sky and hills, then stamped the ladies in black archival ink, the flowers using TH distress markers direct to stamp and the blossom which I coloured with Copics and decoupaged.
If you have not already joined in the challenge there is still plenty of time so I really hope so see you there.

Fantastic garden scene Brenda - oh to have EVER been that shape. I'm convinced I need the TH markers and they on next on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteGlad to programme is working out OK for you. Perhaps I should try it. I always try to type too fast and spend more time going back correcting errors than if I went much more slowly. That goes back to the days when it was my job and my fingers seemed more obedient than they are now.

Just love this – very creative.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene you created Brenda! I love how you combined the different stamps, the sky looks wonderful, and yes, I do believe there has to be a moon. Hope your daughter has a wonderful day on her birthday! I know she is going to love her card!
ReplyDeleteFollowed the link from Craft A Scene to your blog - the card is beautiful (I like the cobblestones, and the decoupage of the cherry blossom really makes that Lavinia stamp something extra-special - you may complain of dexterity issues but it certainly doesn't hold you back where crafting's concerned! Those flowers look so delicate and fiddly!)
ReplyDeleteAnother thing I really appreciate is the way you've listed all the materials/stamps you used - and with links too - very helpful. You can be sure I'll be revisiting your blog!
Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteLove all the layers the silhouettes, the path, the lamp, the flowers, the moon and hills! All fantastic!!!
Stunningly gorgeous, Brenda! I love it! x
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Love how you've created the background, sky & Hills x

I did have to chuckle at the appearance of the lamp post but it does look very English with those cobbles & the blossoms in the trees. I can just imagine this scenario in some Landed Estate during the 1920s for the lamp post would be there with the rolling greenery behind & cobbles beneath the feet, just add a little String Quartet & the Butler.
