Not another easel card..............

..........I hear you say............I really wonder if I will ever tire of them.

Anyhow, I had better tell you about our new challenge at Allsorts and this week my teamie Nicola would like to see Black and White plus One.

I love using pink with black and white, you need so little to really make your card pop. I have used all Hero Arts stamps and stamped the main image twice, one onto black cardstock and embossed with detail while and again onto white cardstock using verafine black and detail clear embossing powder....I find that option gives a much cleaner look than using a clear ink and black embossing powder which invariably shifts to places you don't want it. Next I cut both in half and used one of each and butted them together to get the two tone piece. I stamped the flowers a second time and decoupaged. The DP is from stash and no idea whatsoever the make.

Enjoy your weekend and thank you so much for popping by.

  5. Stunning card Brenda, love the B/W and pink very striking! You always use fab techniques on your cards - great embossing!
Nothing wrong with a good easel card, people probably think I possess nothing but Magnolia stamps at times, but everyone has their favourite thing, that's what makes crafting so much fun!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  24. Gorgeous card Brenda. I love easel cards and black & white plus pink also looks really pretty. I've just finished the first easel card I've made for ages!

I've been out so much this last 2 weeks that I've been having a lovely catch up with all the lovely cards you've made recently.

My internet connection is still driving me nuts. I've already tried to leave you a comment then discovered it had gone off again.

    Take care,

    Kat xx

  37. Striking combination with the brilliant pink accenting. Your multiple stamping is lovely with the black & white mirroring. Thanks for the tip about VersaFine & clear embossing.....the number of times I've had a stray flake of Detail Black & had to start again.
