Easter chocolates

Hope you all had a good weekend. Judging by all the news I have read about the NEC round blogland, I am thinking there is an awful lot of new stash being pushed around craft desks today.

No NEC visit for me, but I still had a crafty indulgence at Stampalot pawing over yet more new goodies.........you only have to take your eye off the ball for a couple of days and new stash has arrived. So leisurely shopping without the frenetic crowds plus a new Japanese hole punch.

I have resisted buying a new one for weeks since my old one........probably my first 'big' craft purchase many years ago.......gave up the ghost punching more than one sheet. Little did I know when I bought it that the price would come down by £10.......and that what I spent on the original one would be like a drop in the ocean compared with future crafty buys. But needs must.

I have one creation to share which you today which is for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge which has the theme of "Spring or Easter - with lots of chocolate" I was tempted to use brown on my card as the chocolate element, but I am still besotted with this new Kaiser Craft DP and wanted to keep my card light and bright, so the chocolate is in the form of a bag of them.

My main image is Penny Black 4076K Gift of Flowers which I stamped several times to decoupage, colouring with a mixture of Prismacolor pencils and Promarkers. The circle sentiment is Hero Arts A4981, the punched border Martha Steward doily lace trim and flowers, pearls and leaves added to embellish. The bag was simply made with a scoreboard and the same image from the card decoupaged and placed on the front.

  1. Hi there Brenda
so nice of you to put the chocolates in the fancy bag for me, but I could have eaten them straight out of the big bag!!!! if only,I am actually allergic to chocolate.
your card and bag are fab love the greens with the navy
and that punched band sets it off.
    hugs chris xx

  7. Hi Brenda..first off..I must say I was a little disappointed with the NEC...don't know if it's because we are behind the US but my main objective was to get some TH Sizzix and Hero Art's stash...sadly came away with neither...I really wanted the Dandelion frame...

I did however have a lovely time on the lavinia stand....spent a mint and even got freebies...brill

I have to confess to some Tilda's...but only four of the new ones and a few of the background's....that I know I can multi use...

I got some crackle paint and Glimmer mist, never tried them before...and a Martha Stewart Score board...half the price as the Score pal...

Love, Love, love your project....the colour's are wonderful, I really like how you made the knot on the sentiment...something I have tried and failed miserably...lol.

    Gorgeous...with or without the choc's...lol.

  15. Hi Brenda - fab card as always love the little girl and choccies too mmmm delicious! We had a fab time at the NEC and I spent far too much money - even bought a new storage unit to replace the one that's buckling at the knees here lol. I think there could be a few more of those 'meets' hope you're in one of them - I'd love that. Sorry you couldn't see my stuff today but blogger has been a real pain in the neck to say the least - I've been on the puter all day trying to catch up one way or another. Lets hope normal service resumes very soon! Hope you're ok

    Love Lynda xxx
