Morning everyone, we have a new challenge at Allsorts and this time round it Birds, Blossoms and Bees as selected by Ellie. We have a beautiful Stampers Anonymous stamp available from Buddly Crafts for our lucky winner.
My card above uses TH/Stampers Anonymous Botanical Elements and French Garden onto Maximum Crafts Gothic arch die which I bought a few weeks ago. The three panels were joined with offcuts as hinges, stamped with Versafine Acorn, then stencilled using TH Opaque Crackle Paste, when dry inked over with Oxides and images coloured with Zig clean colour pens. Sharing at Fab n' Funky Garden Flower theme.
I've been fortunate to play with Lavinia's new Loomweavers Collection this week, it's still slow going on the craft front so not many to share yet, but completed one (eventually) for Ellies theme. I say eventually as was all made and photographed, then butter fingers knocked the water jar over her desk and the frame was unrecoverable one side, luckily the stamped panels were OK. So the original Kraft frame was replaced with a pinky/purple one which I think I do actually prefer. The three panels were brayered with Oxides, stamped with Versfaine Clair, the Fairy skirt and bodice stamped onto MCS patterned paper and finally a Bird and Bee to incorporated all three of Ellies elements. And yes, it's the same die as above. Sharing at Ellies Garden Party 16 and Crafty Catz A/G.
Another from my files which fits nicely at Christmas Kickstart Snowy Days theme, seem to have a few un-blogged Christmas ones. A DL card and envie with Lavinia stamps, Hares from Whimsical Hares and Wild Hares gazing up at the North Star, Red Pines, Mistletoe and Christmas Greetings which is such a useful set. Pan Pastels for the background and finally glitter.

these are very beautiful tags cards Brenda..........gr karin

The arch die has worked so beautifully on all your cards Brenda and I'm glad you could rescue the Lavinia one. I saw the release and hadn't a clue what I could do so glad to see your inspiration here. Not sure if I'm up for it though. I love that little Christmas one, so sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour trio of cards is stunning with the arch die creating such an elegant structure for the detailed stamping, and the mix of Oxides, crackle texture, and soft coloring brings so much depth while the rescued Lavinia piece looks absolutely beautiful in the new frame with its delicate imagery and gentle winter glow.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the arch die with these beautiful makes. I love the way you used the small flowers on the second card and make the arch a frame, must try that! Your Lavinia card was a good save it would have been a shame to lose this beauty.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful trio of arched cards. Great die! Glad you are able to do a little crafting again. xxx
ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards Brenda and a wonderful showcase of the new Lavinia stamps. So glad you were able to save the card!! I'm thinking i might need these racoon stamps but still have several "never inked" stamps by Lavinia and other companies so I might wait a little while.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful triptych card over at Fab'n' Funky x
ReplyDeleteA stunning post full of inspiration Brenda, I always know there's something incredible to see.. The Triptych flow so well with the blooms displayed just so, the colour reminds me of my Marigolds which have seemed to have tripled in size this year.
ReplyDeleteThe snow scene with the hares/rabbits would make an incredible Christmas card.. always delightful Thank you.

Wonderful cards, Brenda. The designs are just beautiful, I love how you’ve used the new Lavinia Stamps. Good to hear you are able to do a little crafting again, a shame about the water jar mishap.
ReplyDeleteLiz xx
Lovely cards Brenda, the scrap paper hinge is a brilliant idea, must try and remember that. I am eyeing up those lovely new Lavinia stamps but I've already visited once this month!! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Brenda. I share your trauma over your mishap. I have a nasty habit of doing things like that. If it is not spilling water it is laying an open ink pad near a finished card, with inevitable consequences. Well saved though and I am glad you prefer it xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous arch shaped cards Brenda. The plum colour looks lovely and it's always a relief when you can rescue a mishap.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful makes! The second one immediately caught my attention with the beautiful frame! Sometimes accidents work out for the best! Adore the Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful creations!
