I'm now 'in the clear', although frustrated it seems very slow going as constantly exhausted, but as my boys keep telling me it stopped them in the tracks and they are young and fit, so I'm expecting too much too soon!
But yesterday I did manage a couple of makes with gorgeous new A&C and Lavinia releases so that must be progress and fingers crossed I'm having the re-scheduled spinal procedure tomorrow assuming they think I'm fit enough, then the head/shoulder injections re-scheduled end of month.
My WLS make uses AALL and Create In the Wild, a set I just love, it's available from A&C and stockists. A stencilled background, the Fox stamped and coloured, words and letters also A&C as are the twigs in the corners. Taking my Mr Fox to AAA Cards Animal theme.
A&C stamps and dies again for my SS make, the base card is Heart Marks the Spot cut twice and joined at the top so it stands up as a tent card, the Tulips from Petal Pop stamp set were heat embossed with detail clear then simply coloured and some watered down shading, twine and word from same set. Entering Try it on Tuesday has a Spring theme as does Crafty Calendar, Little Red Wagon and Sunday Stampers and it's Beautiful Blooms at Simon Say's Monday.
There's still two whole weeks to join in at both, some lovely entries so far and remember you can join in three times.

So pleased to read that you’re in the clear now & have treatment rescheduled - but please be kind to yourself and take it easy.
ReplyDeleteThe fox card is sensational and I love the floral stamped flag—shaped tent card too. Delighted to see you crafting again xxx
How lovely to see that you've been crafting - definitely to be recommended as therapy but mind you don't go overdoing things. Love both of these projects which feature some great A & C products as a timely reminder of the challenges.. Hope all goes well with your re-scheduled treatments.
ReplyDeletevery beautiful cards Brenda........gr karin
ReplyDeleteGlad your feeling slightly better, slow and steady wins the race, says everyone but, like you, I am not good at waiting it out, haha, we will get there Brenda.
ReplyDeleteYour creations are just beautiful, love both and find I can't choose one at all. xx
Great to hear you are in the clear now Brenda and nice that you feel up to a bit of crafting. Two fabulous creations. I love how you've stamped around the edge of the foxy card too x
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are on the road to recovery from the virus even though you don't feel 100% yet, I'm sure with time, you will feel much better.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely projects, I love the tag - the black framing of this colourful image works beautifully.
Lorraine
Two beautiful cards, as Lorraine says the black frame on the tulips is stunning. Fingers crossed that all goes well with upcoming hospital appointments
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling a little better- your sons are quite right though don't expect too much too soon, that virus really does take it out of you so you need to listen to your body and get plenty of rest. Hope all goes according to plan on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, tulips are such lovely colourful spring flowers- love the fox - there was one 'walking on the wild side' outside our front door last night- then he decided to have a little rest and just lay down in the middle of the road- a car turned into the road- he got up and nonchalantly strolled away, Mr. Cool! He was a magnificent looking creature, probably the one who wakes Marvin up at 1.30am by digging out our pots in the garden.
xx
Love the mono tones for the fox. Your tag card is very striking against the black with the pretty colouring. All the best for tomorrow x
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards Brenda, I love the fox image it’s gorgeous and the beautiful tulips on your second one. Glad you are feeling a little better now and also glad that you have got new dates for your procedures. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are in the clear and feeling better, fingers crossed your procedures go ahead as planned-just take care and take it easy. Love the Fox and stencilled background, but my favourite is the beautiful tulips and shaped card.

Both are beautiful cards Brenda, a great stamp for the "wildlife" theme and loving those beautiful tulips! It's good to hear that you recovered from the virus for the most part. It took quite some time for myself too until the tiredness/exhausted feeling was gone. I hope it won't last too much longer for you. Hoping you'll get lots of sunshine to help speed it up a bit.
ReplyDeletePretty cards! Love the banner card, perfect layering and colors! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, love the 1st one it is so you, xxxx
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Brenda. Hope you keep improving. Sending hugs. Anesha
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with your treatment, and please get plenty of rest and relaxation. Love the fox and tulips creations, and the flag tent shape xxx
ReplyDeleteYou haven't lost your touch, Brenda, and I can tell that you enjoyed creating these beauties. I particularly love the second card - so creative and I love the unusual shape. The envelope looks so pretty too! I'm glad to hear that you're on the mend, but do take it slowly with your recovery - Covid is a booger.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Hugs,

Sounds like you are heading in the right direction Brenda, just missing some patience lol. Fingers crossed for the next procedures!! Your fox card is gorgeous, love the colours and your Spring card is just stunning. Love that die shape and need to invest in some!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful creations, Brenda. Thank you for sharing your second project in the Crafty Calendar Challenge. Hope your procedure went ahead as planned today.
ReplyDeleteLiz xx
So glad to hear you are getting lots of encouragement from your boys, hope you are feeling better soon. I love both your projects and how you have made them your own. Cheers, CarolG
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear you're improving, but it does take too long to totally get back to yourself, doesn't it? But the good news is you were able to make some art. That has to make you feel good. These pieces are really gorgeous. That fox has some great camo in those flowers. It's a super image. Hopefully by next time you post you'll be less exhausted. :) hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're feeling better, Brenda! Take good care of yourself! Your work is wonderful!

Beautiful fox card and love your tulips! Happy you're not contagious now and hope you will soon have more endurance.
ReplyDeleteSuch a striking pair of makes. The fox has wonderful presence against that softly stenciled background, and the way you’ve balanced the letters and corner twigs gives the whole piece a grounded, natural feel. The tulip tent card is equally eye‑catching, with the heat‑embossed petals and gentle washes of color working so well against the bold black frame. Both projects feel full of spring energy, and it’s lovely to see your creativity shining even while you’re still regaining strength.
ReplyDeleteThe fox is awesome. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!
