Morning everyone, a very quick post with a share for the Snippets Playground and a reminder that our June Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenge is still running, there's a few days left to join in for the chance of being a DT Choice or winning the lovely die set on offer.
Another stand up tag for my snippets share, I had a dig through my Two Red Robins drawers and decided to see how some worked on plain cardstock rather than printed out Reflections (which have all the artwork coloured). As a self confessed Poppyholic, that's the route I followed along with some wheat cut simply on black. Had to be a bit of stamping, my work feels naked without any, so the word Summer and more Poppies added with A&C stamps onto the inky background. The base dies are also TRR cut twice and joined at the top so the tag can stand up.
And here's my snippets, see you all in the paddling pool as they say it's warming up again, I'm told there will be lollies to be had as well.
I saw a pretty red and white photo inspiration at Beautiful Blossoms challenge so figured my tag just might fit in. Also Anything Summer is the theme at Four Seasons challenge, it's Summer and there's an abundance of Poppies everywhere. Also linking up to Outlawz Card Free Zone.
Thanks for popping in.
A great tag with a lovely stamped background to the die cut wheat and poppies. Good idea to make it so that it will stand up to be admired.
ReplyDeleteGreat stand up tag, love the die-cut poppies and stamped background.

ReplyDeleteI love this gorgeous tag, Brenda! I love poppies too, and I really like your little bouquet. The red and black threads, worked into a beautiful bow, are the perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteIt's shocking to hear that your health trust isn't following the guidelines and making the medication available to you! The system is under such strain, and, sadly, it doesn't look like it will improve soon. I'm glad to hear that they are making such a difference to you and hope the DOH sorts it out soon.
I've really enjoyed looking at your nature photos. You live in such a beautiful place, and it must make your heart sing to have such loveliness on your doorstep.
Take care,
Hugs

ReplyDeleteA gorgeous tag Brenda, love your poppies - such a pretty flower.
ReplyDeleteStill not getting much chance to craft.... Spent 12 hours in A&E with Emma on Friday. Wicket keeping for Derbyshire and got a ball in her face. A glued cut under her eye (never seen so much blood!), a fabulous black shinner and a clear CT scan later....
Hopefully she'll be playing for them again this weekend.
Hope everything is well with you.

A fabulous tag, love how it stands up proud. I’ve just got back from Northumberland where there were loads of poppies. It was cooler too, but I think we’ll be sliding into that paddling pool again in the coming days! xxx

Your stand-up tag is a true celebration of summer—those radiant poppies paired with the wheat silhouettes create such a striking and elegant scene. The inky background adds wonderful depth, and I love how the extra stamping ties it all together. Beautifully done and perfect for the season’s warmth and color.
