Morning to you all, Lynn is our host over at Allsorts challenge and her theme is 'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' with prizes from AALL and Create.
I've give A&C's Sack of Joy (1224)) another outing, rather like the traditional feel of the image penned by Abs for last months new releases. Kept him fairly simple and placed into a frame and added some soft starry stencilling to the frame.
I've mentioned many times that this sentiment from Penny Black remains a firm favourite, to me it reflects precisely what this months Path of Positivity theme is all about 'Faith and Hope. A simple card with the quote focally and the frame stamped with a few Lavinia stamps in the background and built up with decoupage using Two Red Robin artwork.

what a cute and beautiful card with Santa and a gorgeous card Brenda.........gr karin
ReplyDeleteThe traditional Santa card is lovely Brenda, but I'm ever so taken with the arched card with the terrific sentiment and pretty foliage. Wishing you a happy Saturday. Bit stormy! xxx
ReplyDeleteTwo super cards as always. Love the 'olde worlde' Santa - very traditional.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful traditional cards Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt most certainly is Brenda beginning to look like Christmas and your cards are so beautiful Merry Christmas to you x
ReplyDeleteLove the stencilling on your top card Brenda and the arched card is gorgeous! Have a good weekend x
ReplyDeleteBrenda, your Christmas cards are absolutely beautiful! The traditional Santa card has such a nostalgic charm, and the arched card with the sentiment and foliage is simply stunning. I love the soft starry stencilling and the Lavinia stamps in the background.
ReplyDeleteSanta looks wonderful with the beautiful stenciling in the sky and that's such a perfect image for a Christmas card. The arch is lovely and that sentiment gives me reason to pause whenever I see it. A great reminder of what the Christmas season is all about. Beautiful cards! Have a great weekend and take care.
ReplyDeleteYes, a perfect sentiment for our challenge this month and such a beautiful card. Gorgeous greenery and the lovely berries pop. Thank you for sharing with us at Path of Positivity. Katrina
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely Santa and you've used him to great effect with your CAS layout. Your second card is beautiful and reminds me of a church flower display at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful Christmas cards Brenda, love the Father Christmas with the stencilled background and the beautiful sentiment with the decoupaged floral arrangement.

2 lovely traditional cards Brenda. I particularly love the second one with the beautiful floral arch and fab sentiment x
ReplyDeleteLove that Santa! It is festive and modern and vintage at the same time! You should use that sentiment often; it is a beautiful one! Enjoy the Sunday!
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards Brenda. Father Christmas looks like he could be the real thing (I am a bit scared of some of them!). That lovely christmas message is framed beautifully by the decoupaged artwork. Storm Darragh managed to loosen a rooflight that was easily fixed by my "man that can", hope you are unscathed xx
ReplyDeleteI love that Santa Brenda, makes a gorgeous card. But the second card is absolutely beautiful and yes, what a sentiment!!
ReplyDeleteBoth are so beautifully done, love the vintage Santa image and stenciling around him looks fantastic. And a beautiful quote on your second card, you've highlighted it so nicely with the winter flowers and foliage.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful festive cards Brenda I love the vintage style Santa on the first and that verse on the second is awesome I love them both
