Penny Black challenge

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was hectic but very enjoyable and a lovely lunch yesterday with some of our brood.

I have a couple of shared today and in this post it is my entry for this weeks Penny Black challenge which has the theme of 'White on White' but with the option of colouring your image. Tough I thought and threw the idea around for a day or so, then decided to try out a design I have used with colour, but just in the single colour and I think it works OK.

For starters, I probably need to point the direction of the Penny Black stamp 2636 Scroll Pattern which has been stamped on the main card using versamark and detail clear embossing powder, it's not overly obvious in my picture but it is there. I ran the square mat though the Cuttlebug using Swiss Dots folder and the flowers (they are Christmas Roses in my fantasy world) are punched from glitter cardstock as were the centres with brads in the centre - these are a creamy colour, not white but I figured this would take place of the image where colouring was allowed. The leafy scroll was cut from Cricut Joys of the Season and lace and some pins and beads added to embellish.

  13. Another beauty! Have always loved the Swiss Dots, but have you seen the Snowflakes folder? I love it! Have asked Janice to put one aside for me to collect next week when they get back from the NEC. Can't wait to see what you do with yours when you get one.. because if you haven't got one yet, I know you will!
