Strike a Pose

Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts and this week Mervi has chosen the theme of Ladies and Girls to tie in with International Women's Week which was on Wednesday, we have a super prize of the lovely Indigo Blue Miss Austen stamp.

Both of my cards are samples made for Create and Craft TV shows, the top one for the latest release from Rare Earth called 'Strike a Pose'. Rare Earth are Tattered Lace's new range of stamps and the latest release will be aired live on Tuesday and I am told my samples have been used for the promotional video for this range of stamps which rather chuffed me. The one below uses some of the Art Deco releases.........and if you like that era there are more coming along on 21st March's Pick of the Day.

I stamped the lovely lady agove from the 'Strike a Pose' collection and coloured her with Spectrum Pencils......now I never thought I would hear myself say this but I actually thoroughly enjoyed colouring in these samples, I've got a long way to go with my colouring but it's a start. The sentiment is computer generated and I kept it all simple with just some ribbon and flowers. I hope this will fit the current Snippets Playground challenge, I was unusually frugal with this one and gutted the bottom white mat to create the top one with the stamping on.

The card below features one of the ladies and circle dies which were part of the TL Art Deco releases and I teamed them up with Graphic 45 DP's which I though had a bit of an Art Deco feel to them.

My teamies have loads of inspiration to share again this week so I do hope you will pop over and take a peek.

Happy weekend all.

I love both cards, each brilliant in its own way! Didn't realised Rare Earth was Tattered Lace until you mentioned it! I find it increasingly hard to keep up with new products/brands, there is so much coming out nowadays... I hope I will see the video showing off your expert makes! xx

Good morning Brenda
Two beautiful cards today. The lady stamp in the top card is stunning and just my type of stamp, lots of areas to colour. I am a huge fan of Art Deco and love these dies from Tattered Lace so much so that I bought the set when they were on Create and Craft at Christmas time. The ladies in this set are also fabulous to colour and paper piece.
Enjoy your weekend.

Two wonderful cards Brenda, the yellow dress looks beautiful and happy to hear you enjoyed coloring it. I find coloring very relaxing, but it takes a lot of time which is not always there.
And what an amazing design on the second card! Everything goes so well together, a very artistic creation! Something I could imagine seeing in a modern art gallery.

It's a slippery slope Brenda...first pencils, then the Illustrator pens will sneak in!! You have done a fantastic job of colouring her in, the folds of her dress are wonderful and the colour is like a spring day (rather like the one we have enjoyed I Dorset today!!). The colours of your Art Deco card are right up my street...fab card!! xx

A really elegant card for the first card, love the choice of yellow for that wonderful dress.
Afraid I am not an Art Deco fan but it is a great card for that type of card and a great choice of colours and papers.
Think I have made a mistake as I seem to be the only one who has DSB as a sponsor this week as well as the stamp.

Two fab cards Brenda, I love the lady on the first one and the lovely yellow you have used. I do a lot of "gutting" since I got my stitched dies, if I don't use it on the card I'm making at the time I pop them in a box on my table ,handy for a quick topper !

The first card is one I like just because the dress looks so festive and that yellow looks so great! But the circkles on the 2nd card are still the most neautiful diecut circles that I have seen up till now, so that's my favorite this time!

Saw your gorgeous lady over at the Snippets Playground. Doesn't this lovely lady in her beautiful dress, remind you of the splendid styles that were back in the '50-s? (I'm thinking Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, those ladies in the full gowns and these would move & swirl so gracefully) The sunshine yellow colors just brightened my day. #2 totally different style & colors, but so unique with this design. So much texture & feeling of movement on the card. Love those hot earthy colors too. TFS & Hugs (hope you have been doing well!)
