400th Celebrations and Rudolph is back

Good morning to you all, before I tell you about our special challenge at Allsorts this week I would like to say a huuuuuuge thank you for all your wonderfully kind messages and e.mails of support following my last post, you are all so thoughtful and your words mean a great deal to me.

So into our challenge and Tracy wants us to 'Celebrate' and with a very good reason as well as it's our 400th Allsorts challenge !! I feel so privileged to have been involved with each one and to be working alongside such a super team. So we naturally have a rather special prize for you this week which comes courtesy of Tattered Lace. And as well as the main prize there will be two further prizes, so lots of reasons to join in this week, do pop over to the challenge blog and check out the super prizes and see the super inspiration from my teamies.

I did panic somewhat as I always have a good backup of work for those 'just in case' times, but most of those have been utilised in recent weeks whilst I have been unwell so I was determined to create something new. My card uses stamps from Altenew, they are some I treated myself to way back in the Autumn and they sat unused for ages, so this is their first outing. It took me the best part of a morning and I am not totally happy with it but at least I feel I am easing back into a little craft.

I was determined to be well prepared for Mo's first Rudolph Day of 2017 and had this stored away ready. The image and sentiment are both Inkylicious, I used a mask and white ink to create the focal shape then stamped with coffee archival ink onto the Kraft card and added glitter to the winery scene. And the two narrow white elements are a couple of pieces from the snippets draw so I am popping over the the Playground with this one

Happy weekend all.

Love both cards B - and of course the snippets card is a fabulous design! I've only made one like that but think it would be good (time permitting) to make a little batch of them as they're rewarding to make and have such impact as well. Love the addition of the red bow instead of white and the white stripes down either edge are also a super idea. Sp pleased you found the time to relax and do some crafting.

Hugs

Di xx

Aligning these clear stamps is not as easy as it looks! Once you've used the stamps they are inevitably dyed and it becomes very difficult to see through them to stamp the other layers! A lovely card anyway Brenda, and so is the understated and clean Rudolph card! xx

The current state in the red corner won't have you picking up positively will it? Just one word springs to mind - DIRE. Shall be seeking a divorce lawyer at this rate.
Glad you are back B - lovely cards - even when you are much less than 100% you still produce beautiful things - unlike the red corner...... xxx

Your cars are both lovely...you are to hard on yourself to not be happy with that first. The colours are pretty you have captured the Celebrate theme with that sentiment!

The Rudolph days card is stunning. I want to try this technique! The two white strips set off the bauble image and the image is beautiful with the added glitter!
Thanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.

Evening Brenda, They are two beautiful cards. I love your Altenew flower card. I've had a go but not very confident with them yet. The white on kraft is something I have yet to try. I think your snowy bauble card is really lovely.

I'm glad you felt well enough to do a little crafting. Take Care. Hugs, Barbxx

Absolutely such a frosty & gorgeous snow scene. I saw that Mo cased this lovely card and thought what a splendid job she had done. It's a perfect card to start off January Rudy day, and the soft kraft color of the background adds so much to the 'feel' of that snow too! TFS & Hugs
