Lace and Pearls

Our Tracy Mouse is challenging us to use Lace and Pearls on our work at Allsorts this week where our sponsors are Deedees Designs and PPR Papercrafts.

I have two cards and both are way different to the norm for me, one is a tad cute.................I did say some were coming along didn't I.............. and the other has some colouring in, now there's a turn out for the books on both counts. And I have to make a confession that I really enjoyed making them both.

The focal image on my card at the top is a really old wood mounted stamp I have had for years, there is no clue as to the make but I have a feeling it may be an early one from Creative Expressions. I had the pretty piece of pink lace so used that as the colour inspiration for my card and coloured the image with Chameleon pens, some very subtle shading round the edges, simple mat and layering and some roses and pearls plus a pearl necklace for the lady.

I listed all the making details and products used on the baby card over at Tattered Lace here so won't bore you with all the details again, there will also be a blue version popping up over at the Tattered Lace blog tomorrow.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Two wonderful cards Brenda, one very chic and the other so cute.
You are right about striking while the iron is hot, I felt that if I didn't buy my sofa there and then, with my luck it would be gone when I went back! :o)

Gorgeous cards today especially the baby card. I like the way you have used small pieces of different papers and have embellished each one.
Thank you for your comment yesterday - I think I have bitten off more than I can chew. It is my crafting that keeps me sane and I am not sure whether not crafting is a such good idea.
Take care

Oh my both are gorgeous. I love the lady image of the top design and your floral embellishments. The bottom is one of the nicest baby card I've seen, I love it ! I struggle for baby cards, I don't have any stamps, I end up going to my old paper folding 'stash' to make something. I used to do a lot of paper folding and stitching on cards before I became addicted to stamps and inks. Have a great weekend, Shirleyxx

Love BOTH of these lovely cards. I was entranced by #1, as I had stamped off some of this identical image when I was in a stamp group, but didn't know the maker. It makes such an elegant lady & I love the soft colors you chose...so very ethereal & feminine. The lovely lace border and the gorgeous flowers just added more to that feeling. Some lucky lady is going to feel so special to receive this card. All that delicious pink and the delightful embellishments on the baby card are truly a work of love. The tiny elephants on the 'lace shelf' just were so much fun, ditto the bird. Such a fun card, and will be treasured by a proud Mama. TFS & Hugs
