Anything goes all the way

Another scheduled post so I hope it's Sunday morning as it's time for our new challenges at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More where our themes are Anything Goes and well yes........Anything Goes..........oh my goodness I am not sure how that happened but at least it gives everyone plenty of opportunity to combine them together.

My Penny Black piece used the lovely Gossamer image which lends itself beautifully to paper piecing which is some of the lush new Graphic 45 Botanical Tea collection..............I've had it since February and it's taken me thins long to cut into it which is crazy really as the 12x12 pad has two of each design.

And it's comfort zone stuff for my Stamping Sensations DT piece which is a Birthday Card for blogging friend as today it her Birthday so I am safe to share it. It may seem an odd one for a lady but she like me has a thing for trees, nature and birds so I hope she likes it. I used an oval mask to create a little scene using a mixture of Sutter, Art Impression, Clarity and Inkylicious stamps and Pan Pastels.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Both beautiful creations Brenda. The floral card is more my style and the colours are lovely. I admire your lovely country scene and wish I could make something like that. I do try but always manage to get more ink on my hands and table than I get on the card. I must keep trying though.

Your second piece just has me gasping - how you managed to make a scene using the colours of a pheasant??? Just phenomenal & I love the way those wheatears from the left extend into the scene & are balanced on the top right by the birds flying out of the scene. Your first is very different & I marvel how you are able to work with both styles - your chiffon bow with the pearl echoes the shape of the paper pieced flowers beautifully.
You're much in my thoughts.
With much love too

Stunning cards Brenda. Both different but equally stunning. I loved the flutterbys from yesterday. My daughter was here so it was difficult to get near my iPad!

I hope all is going well for you with the scans and I hope the op is a success when it happens. Hope you're being well looked after. Having been in hospital recently for the first time since my younger daughter was born in 1982 I know the nurses do a great job looking after you.

Keeping you in my thoughts.

Take care,

Kat xx

My apologies for very late visiting Brenda. Wow oh wow! Both of these are gorgeous. The very cute punched flags and paper pieced flower on the first are wonderful. The stamping and use of colour on the second card is stunning and like you and your friend that would be the one I would pick because I love landscapes and the landscape is just wonderful! Karen x
