Birds and feathers, Nicecrane and Penny Black

It's time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Mervi would like to see Birds and Feathers, a perfect one for Spring and Easter cards. We welcome two new sponsors this week Marianne Designs and Buttons for Brains.

For the top creation I used a Tonic box card frame, spritzed with Dylusions and Glimmer Mist and then added texture with some stenciling and Grunge Paste, a Nicecrane image here which I printed out twice and decoupaged the two birds, a butterfly metal embellishment which I coated and embossed with copper and blue powder and a sentiment which I cut down into three pieces.

Also here are my Penny Black and More mid month shares which should have appeared yesterday but for some reason Blogger had other ideas, sorry teamies. The above card using a new Penny Black die called Bashful along with the lovely Helen Keller quote. And the one below, another beautiful Penny Black inspirational quote, hey do these so well, Graphic 45 DP's, roses and butterflies cut out from the reverse of the DP.

And just one more for Allsorts using another Nicecrane image and Marianne large oval die.

Wishing you all a Happy and Peaceful Easter.

Such a lovely card Brenda and a super sentiment too. Those little birdies (real ones!!) are frequent visitors at the moment among others. It's wonderful to see the world coming back to life. We have masses of cowslips along the hedges, now the primroses are going and the bluebells are just breaking. My greenhouse is looking quite green too, so lots of pricking out for me!! Think of you often xx

It's the two Penny Black cards that steal the show for me, especially the first one with the way you've used the die & that gorgeous little cameo on the sheer ribbon bow. The way you have layered the patterned paper with the ribbon is delightful & I love the sheer elegance of the colour scheme.

Absolutely brilliant cards, as always, Brenda - the shadow box of the first one is just lovely, and I really like the yellow sunshine of the spring flowers in number 2... Sorry to have missed so much, life's been a little crazy, but I'm looking forward to a bit more space and time in the coming weeks.
Hope you're enjoying a lovely sunny Easter weekend.

Stunning cards as usual Brenda. I love the Penny Black and More ones with these lively quotations.

I've had a lovely catch up with lots of your posts. I've been very lazy and give up easily when my internet connection plays up. On the plus side I have knitted a lot of jumpers and hats to send to Malawi. And I'm nearly finished an Aran cardigan (for me!)

Sorry to hear you're still poorly. I'm thinking of you in spite of my lack of visits and hoping for better news.

Take care,

Kat xx

I just looked around at my leisure on your blog. What there are a lot of beautiful cards. I cleaned up my own blog. Thus, I see the people I follow better. I had too much to follow, and it did not. Now I saw again your message from your new cards. I've been following you for quite a while but sometimes saw your messages not because there were too many. Now I'll definitely be back more often to see you. Lovely cards Greetings Janny
