A little bit CAS and Monday candy

Happy Monday Peeps, time for this weeks Prickly Pear and Nicecrane DT pieces and of course this weeks candy.........and stamp re-housing, it wasn't my intention to make this a regular thing but it seems lots of you really like the idea. In the days when I did lots more demos and classes I gathered far more stamps than I know what to do with and some were used for just one or two classes, so it pleases me that some are going to new homes rather than gathering dust in my craft drawers.

It's a bit of a CAS card I think, using the Lovebird on Vine image from Prickly Pear stamped into a circle aperture and shaded with Pan Pastels, an embossed panel at the bottom and some ribbon and gems.

My Nicecrane piece this week uses another new image from the Frank Haviland Women design sheet. I have been wanting to try a criss cross card for ages so set to work with the scoreboard and a sheet of A3 cardstock and found I got two nice sized cards for the sheet. Graphic 45 DP's with some stamping arond the edges, lace, ribbons dies cut swirls and flowers and  I rather like the finished result.

This weeks candy is a sweet little Sarah Kay image called Susie Ponders and the stamp is Hero Arts. The winner of last weeks embellishments is Jem from Wednesday's post and the Hero Arts stamp is being re-homed with Kathleen from Saturday's post. Please both mail me with your full postal addy's so I can send your goodies.

Here's what you need to do to be in with a chance of wining...............
  • Post my Monday Candy Poppy logo on your blog sidebar with a link to my blog.
  • Leave a comment on any post between now and next Monday.....comments on two posts and names go into the draw again and so on.
  • Be a follower of my blog and please no candy only followers, I do check winners blogs and any non genuine ones will be discounted.
Hope you have a good Monday everyone.

  11. Hi Brenda, I simply had to pop over (long overdue, I know) when I saw your lovely CAS card in my Dashboard, but I think I like your second card even better with those soft colours. I have never tried a criss cross card, but I may have to try, even though, I'm leaning more and more towards making CAS cards at the moment. Hope your week is a good one.

  39. On the first sample I love the way your little heart gems echo the hearts of the image culminating in that end one combining both on the image. That's a really lovely CAS layout too.
On the second, the lace is a lovely addition on the criss cross card & I love your positioning of the leaf die-cut with the flower & ribbon on the image itself.
