Clever Cricut plus horses and dogs

Using Cindo Loo cartridge for the border welded onto a basic square, flowers using Close to my Heart Art Philosophy and sentiment from Birthdays

My Cricut machine has come in useful for a quick Birthday make and some Christmas gift envelopes, perfect for money or vouchers and they can be prettied up to make them a bit special as well all using the machine.

Envelopes made using Over the Hills, Spring Holiday and Christmas Cards, Poinsettia from Joys of the Season and Christmas Tree from Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge

And a couple of photos of the boys and girls I have been meaning to share............

The 'spotty gang' patiently waiting to get back into their stables. Anysia decided they needed matching coats this winter - they 'need' new coats much the same as we 'need' crating goodies, I think we could open a tack shop with what's cluttering the tack room.

A hard days work for all in my craft room, Daisy left, devil eyed Holly on the right and Poppy conveniently located in the middle....such a tough life being a 'working' dog

Thanks for popping in to take a peek, hope to see you all again soon.

A roaming Labrador

Thought I had better share my two cards from Penny Black and More and Stamping Sensations mid months posts on Monday, same Labrador just different locations.

I won't be about in blogland for a bit as have some new health issues going on.

Luckily I always have posts scheduled well ahead so a few will be popping up from time to time in coming weeks, after then we shall have to see.

Winter $50 prize blog hop

Note added for those here for the Blog Hop: I just realised that it will probably be later in the day before you can follow the hop properly as I am a few hours ahead of my fellow DT's who are all USA based so hope you will find time later to join in.

Morning to you all, hope your weekend was a good one.

Monday always means time to share my weeks DT work for Prickly Pear and this week to celebrate the release of the Winter 2 stamps we are having a blog hop. There will be a fab prize up for grabs of $50 worth of PPRS products which will be selected from all the comments left on the DT's blogs and in additional I have a little extra prize that will go to a randomly selected person from the comments on my blog.................

Those following the hop should have arrived here from Angela's blog and pop along next to Heidi, should you get lost you will find the full list here.

So as I said it's the Winter 2 release and the top card used the gorgeous sleigh image which I have stamped with brown archival ink and coloured with Pan Pastels and added a generous helping of snow glitter. And the sentiment is from the same release.

For my other card I used the distress Jingle Bells stamp and the poinsettia stamps and matching dies, like the leaves I shared a couple of weeks ago these are such clever little sets. The holly and swirls are Cheery Lynn and I embossed the background panel with the holly A4 folder which really had worked overtime in my craft room this year.

Hope you have a good Monday.

Gift time and this weeks candy

Our Sarah would like us to Make a Gift at Allsorts this week and our super sponsors are A Passion for Stamps and the Craft Barn and a warning in advance, this post is rather picture heavy !

Before I tell you about my DT creation I want to say thank you so much to you all for your kind words of understanding both on my blog and e.mails whilst I continue through my copy and past comment period, you have no idea how much they are appreciated.

OK now for my share and due to being Mrs Fumblefingers what I intended making for this theme didn't materialise as stamping remain a challenge to say the least, so I came up with this alternative which was more forgiving when it comes to accuracy.
********
The lovely floral images as Nicecrane Vintage Flower Postcards all printed onto linen cardstock and the box was made using my screoboard, covered with Tonic DP's and some die cut leaves and Roses made with Ruth's Tonic punch and stamp Rose set.

********
I won't begin to tell you how long this took me with all the fumbling about but I did thoroughly enjoy making it, so thanks for the theme Sarah.

And I thought I would give this to one of my DIL's as a little extra for her Birthday in a couple of weeks, she loves anything pretty and feminine so I think these will appeal and be useful at the same time.

********
I also thought I would share this little gift box as well, again using Nicecrane images from the recent Joyful Christmas release, I really fell in love with these sweet Victorian children and it will be lovely filled with sweets.

The images are really useful for making quick cards, but of course the sky is the limit if you want to go to town with all your lovely embellishments.

And if you want to try out this little box the instructions are here on one of my older posts.

Now onto my Saturday candy and last weeks candy winner is Karen, please mail me with your full name and postal addy. And this week I have a gorgeous Art Deco stamp and feathers from the Urban Stamps range.

  • Add the Saturday Candy logo from my sidebar to your sidebar
  • Be a follower of my blog.
  • A random winner will be selected from all comments left on my blog between now and Friday, so two comments during the week two chances of winning and so on.
  • The winner will be announced next Saturday.

A beautiful freebie for you all

Good Morning Peeps, seems winter is well and truly here now in the UK, it's been raining and dull for days and now the dreaded frosts have arrived so really it's the prefect opportunity to craft and as stamping is still proving difficult for Mrs Fumblefingers I have concentrated on working with Ignacio's latest releases and thought I would share a few, the Oriental ones further down in particular are lovely and a little different for Christmas.

Also Iganico has very kindly given me a freebie for you all to download (below), it's a famous illustration from 1921 by C. Leyendecker.....I've never offered an image before so not sure how it will download, so if you have any problems just mail me and I will send it to you that way.

And not only that, he has a discount voucher for his Christmas Ball images..............

As you can see Igancio has worked his magic again with my photos and added names of the image sheets and you will find direct links to all in the thumbnails below.

And a couple more, I kept them all fairy simple as the images are beautifully detailed and I thought too much embellishment would distract from them.....................

Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoy using the image above.

    Sunrays

Morning to you all, hope your weekend was a good one.

Just popping in with this weeks DT piece for Prickly Pear and this week I have used this lovely stamp which I masked to enable me to extend the trees either side of the sun..........the stamp is the sun/moon and three trees either side but it's really easy to line up and extend as I have done. The colouring and sun rays have all been created with Pan Pastels. And as Gail gave me a little prompt I would like to enter this into the following:

Craft a Scene - Trees, Trees, Trees

I thought I had also better share this one with you as it's already been on the store blog, I did it as an inspirational piece for the sketch competition we have running at the moment and used some lush Graphic 45 DP's and the lovely Prickly Pear poinsettia stamp and matching die set.

Thanks for popping in, I always appreciate your visits and kind comments.

    NEC and Saturday candy

We are continuing with out Christmas spirit at Allsorts and this week and my teami Wendy has selected the theme of White Christmas, we have two sponsors this week FlonzCraft and Crimson Cloud. And warning in advance, this is a lengthy one so a coffee might be in order.

I know lots of you were planning going to the Hobbycrafts show at  the NEC this week and I am sure you will have had a great time. I went on Thursday and it was absolutely heaving, probably the busiest I have ever seen it even at a weekend, but there seemed to be far more stands than last year and such a variety as well with lots of new things creeping in such as lovely fabric stands and a noticeable increase in the popularity of beading.

There are always new crafty goodies to temp us but a couple particularly appealed to me, the first was the lovely Kim Costello whose name is so familiar to lots of us, she has very recently launched her own range of Paperbabe stamps....cool name Kim. This set crept home with me as I loved the reindeer and Kim explained to me the set is aimed at both the cute market and those like myself who veer to a more inky approach, it's a really clever set as the reindeer builds up with three different stamps and there are name stamps from Rudolph right through to Dasher and Vixen.

Another stand of interest to me was Craft Dragon, it's something I've seen demoed on C&C many times but the lovely guys there gave to a test run on it and even with my rotten dexterity and current weak hands, I was able to use the machine effortlessly, so it's definitely on my wish list. They told me there is a new machine just round the corner which as well as stamping and hot foiling will cut all the leading brands of die cuts so sounds like it will be a really cool piece of kit.

And I was able to meet up with quite a few sponsors from my various challenges and it was lovely to be able to thank them in person for their support. What I did learn for sure was that a day was most definitely not enough and next year it will be an overnight stay I think.

Now after all that waffle for a little bit about my Allsorts DT piece for the week and I am the first to admit that all white card terrify me, but I've given it my best shot using two Memory Box dies, a Spellbinder frame and embossing folder, the only colour I have added is a little white and silver Pan Pastel for the sky.

Last weeks candy winner is (re-drawn 15th Nov as original winner did not make contact and new winner Sarah mailed), please mail me with your full name and postal addy so I can send your goodies.

And this week I have a 'practical' prize, but an essential we all use every day, a hot glue gun for a lucky winner.

    • Add the Saturday Candy logo from my sidebar to your sidebar (not this picture)
    • Be a follower of my blog
    • A random winner will be selected from all comments left on my blog between now and Friday, so two comments during the week two chances of winning and so on.
    • The winner will be announced next Saturday
    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

    Yet more Christmas and Cricut

Morning Peeps, just popping in with a couple of shares of cards I have created using new Vintage Christmas releases from Nicecrane Designs.

Tomorrow I am off to then NEC, I was given some complimentary tickets so it would be rude not to, so I have my 'need', 'want' and 'must have' lists ready and so looking forward to catching up with one or two friendly faces. I don't actually need anything but I am thinking I won't come home empty handed because even if crafting is difficult I can still wield a debit card quite efficiently !

And here's one I made with the Cricut using Animal Kingdom and Celebrations cartridges and some Pan Pastel clouds and below another from the Nicecrane Vintage Christmas images. Links to all below

    Have a good Wednesday all.

    Traditional Christmas

Today sees our new challenge over at FlonzCraft Vintage Stamping Challenges where as usual there is a fab $20 voucher to spend on FlonzCraft stamps so every reason to join in with this months theme of Traditional Christmas Time.

I have used this pretty little girl and paper pieced her, added some holly leaves, poinsettia and Christmas trees which were cut on the Cricut. I would like to enter this into............

    Christmas card challenge - Dimension
Heck of a challenge - In the frame

It's also the day to share this weeks DT piece for Prickly Pear and it's another comfort zone Autumnal one for me using the lovely matching leaf dies and stamps which were cut from a piece of card sprayed with Dylusions. Don't forget we also have a sketch competition going on with some yummy goodies up for grabs, there is a direct link on my sidebar. I would like to enter this into..........

    Amusing challenges - Autumn colours
    Glitter n Sparkle - Leaves

I hope you will join our FVS challenge this month and also our sketch competition over at PPRS.

    Sunday 3 November 2013

A bit of this and a bit of that

Morning to you all, the first Sunday of the month so time for new challenges at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More where our themes are Christmas and Anything Goes.

My top one for Stamping Sensations is one of the samples I made some time ago for a TV show for our sponsor Stamp Addcits using their happy Santa image. My second one uses a lovely bird image from Nicecrane Designs. The image is simply framed with a Spellbinder die, some Marianne holly and a Spellbinder Poinsettia to embellish. I would like to enter this into.........

    Sweet stampin' - Shaped card

A second Stamping Sensations one using one of the lovely Nicecrane Designs Christmas images, I just love these and they make such a perfect seasonal card with just the addition of a pretty frame, poinsettia and holly.

My Penny Black piece is one of my first ventures back into stamping, I can't really hold the stamps firmly still so I thought some Dylusional inkiness and Frantage was perfect as you can't really go wrong with a piece like this. I would like to enter this into........

Hiding in my craft room - Fall colours
Sugar creek hollow - Anything Vintage

And there is a final late runner as I was desperate to try some proper stamping and this is what I came up with, it took me the best part of an afternoon and a good few attempts before I managed to get the card and stamp to meet as the stamp usually lands on it's own before I am ready but am relatively happy with what I ended up with. I would like to enter this one into.............

    Crafting Musketeers - Pretty pastels

I really do hope you will join in the fun this month, as always there are some awesome prizes up for grabs.

    Christmas Cheer and Saturday candy

Happy Weekend all you crafty Peeps, this week at Allsorts my mate Tracy is challenging us to share some Christmas Cheer, as most of us are well and truly into Crimbo mode with our crafting it should be a popular one. Our sponsors this week are Crafty Devils and DigiStamp Boutique.

As things remains slow on the stamping front I have used another of Igancio's lovely Nicecrane Designs images, this was one of those where I could visualise the card as soon as I saw it. I printed the birds out twice so I could decoupage them, used a favourite Christmas sentiment from Stampendous, embossing folder and Cheery Lynn golly swirl die.

Last weeks candy winner is The Sparkle Fairy, please mail me with your full name and postal addy. And this week I have a lovely set of Christmas stamps and a matching embossing folder.
