In Stitches

Good morning Peeps, Saturday again and it's yours truly's turn to host this weeks theme at Allsorts which is 'In Stitches', so that means I would like to see some sort of stitching either real or faux on your work.

And before I go any further I have to say please don't look too closely at my stitching, a certain puppy called Poppy decided the wiring to my machine looked like a good past time and although hubby managed to mend it for me, if not working quite as it should and missing stitches here and there.

As Flonz Craft are a sponsor this week I have of course use one of their lovely images and again paper pieced at the stamps lend themselves so well to this technique, plus of course I can't colouring in for toffee. The  DP's are again Teresa Collins, I really love these papers they have a lovely texture to them, are double sided and so many have beautiful vivid colours totally appeal to me. I added a Marianne flower and swirl.

I'm looking forward to coming to visit all your entries, I really hope you can find time to join in.

Good morning Brenda, what a stunning card. I really love the vintage feel to it and your colours. The flower is a perfect decoration too and very clever how it matches the paper. Have a lovely weekend, the weather has turned quite chilly, keep snug.

That is a gorgeous card - the slightly wonky stitching adds to the handmade effect of a special card! Hope you're keeping well on this decidedly chilly Saturday morning!

This is really beautiful Brenda, I love the colour combo and paper piecing on the image.. I tend to forget this technique, and it's so fun.. Must try to remember it more. .. Hope your sewing machine is working well again now. Hugs xxx

Your lace looks beautiful with this & those colours really are super togehter - I'm itching to play with my watercolour pencils & colour schemes. I took my box out last night & tried a few of the pencils on different watercolour papers & was thinking of you! Hope you don't have too many more escapades with either of the terrors er..... terriers' teeth.
Take care & much love

Love your card Brenda. Those papers and stamps go so well together and are giving such a lovely vintage feel to the dresses. Our pets do tend to drive us up the wall sometimes, don't they, but it's usually impossible to get mad at them, since they are also giving us so much joy. One of my cats always wants to lie down on the stuff I'm working on at the table and is protesting loudly when I chase her off.

Beautiful card Brenda ! Your colours are fabulous, especially love the florish and flower. If you didn't point out the stitching, I wouldn't notice, but I think it gives it vintage character with a few gone off. Happy Weekend, Shirelyx ps.. it's a good thing our pets are so adorable and loving so that we are not too upset when they damage things.

Gorgeous as always Brenda :) The image is so classy! And I love the paperpiecing too, really looks so well :) one of my rescue cats sits on my craft desk because it's by the window she comes in through and she's too nervous to move too far from her escape route, so she's always chasing ribbons and stuff on my desk! Gotta love animals though :) And as for your stitching, it just adds to the vintage 'older' look so I wouldn't worry about it at all :)

It's a gorgeous card Brenda, love the color choices, the beautiful sketch, and at least you have a good excuse when your stitching is a little off. Mine usually is off because I can't figure out what's wrong with my machine, which reminds me the last time I used it I had to do "faux stitchig" because it decided to just tear the thread for no apparent reason.
