Social Butterfly

Good morning Peeps, I hope everyone is OK.

I know I've said it before, but I need to say it again as so many of you have sent such wonderful messages to me over the last few days about Buffy..............thank you so very much to each and everyone of you.

It looks like our Indian summer was short lived and we've jumped straight into the middle of autumn and yet more rain. And it's been decidedly cold the last few days, Hubby recorded night temperatures of  '0' several nights during the last week so I don't suppose the frosts won't be far behind.

I've got very little artwork to share, I normally have a reasonable selection in my gallery ready to blog, but the revamp of my craft room along with events of the last week and the loss of Buffy means I've done very little crafting for a few weeks. So the best I have to offer is the one above made quite a few weeks ago which I used yesterday to send to the UK Animal Health Trust to thank them for all their kindness.

The butterfly is Penny Black from their Social Butterfly set and the foliage stamps are a mixture of again Penny Black and Inkylicious and simple inking using TH distress and Adirondack inks.

I'm trying very hard to be positive despite it being hard going still, but I've had a trip out and about in blog land and trying to get my act together. As always, thank you so much for your visits and kind comment.

This is so beautiful Brenda. I love the combinations of those soft pastel colours - and the stamped scene is perfect.
Time will heal I promise you - but I know that doesn't help right now.
Love and hugs

This is stunningly beautiful, Brenda. When I first saw the picture I was wondering if animal heaven would look anything like that. Wouldn't it be great if Buffy and three of our cats that passed away since we moved here would be playing out there together? Sadly, our neighbours'/friends' cat (still a kitten) was hit by a car yesterday and was buried in our garden. It brought back lots of memories of our Barbapapa, who died at the exact same spot almost three years ago...
I hope your grief over Buffy will lessen and your happy memories will prevail.

Despite the lack of tools at the moment, I think you've done an amazing job on this card, Brenda! I agree with Stamps and Paper too if you could do a tutorial on your blending skill once your craft room is ready, please! I'm catching some glimpse of sunshine today.

Can't believe it is that cold in your area already. We are heating up over here and I think another week or two and the aircons will once again be running. I love this field of grasses and flowers. So pretty. Take care and sending you lots of happy thoughts.

Beautiful card Brenda, I love the colours and that butterfly is so pretty. I'm sure they loved it, and really appreciate the 100 you donated to them - great idea, I'm sure they'll generate some much needed funds.

Chin up, take things one day at a time, and try to stay positive, easier said than done I know, but with a serious amount of willpower and determination, you'll get through this tough time. I'm sure once your craft room is all sorted out again, things will be easier for you, at least you'll have some distraction from negative thoughts then.

Big hugs and take care

What a lovely card Brenda I am sure it was appreciated. It has turned very nippy but I think we are getting off lightly down here in the south. The flooding has been awful for some poor souls. Keep positive and lovely to see you in blog land. Take care,

Gorgeous scene, Brenda. I love the butterfly, of course, and the soft, dreamy colours. We've actually had frost on a couple of recent mornings, but it's been a lovely day today. Long may it last, but I doubt it will! x

Gorgeous card Brenda. That butterfly is the perfect finishing touch. I'm sure it was much appreciated by the UK Animal Health Trust.

I'm sure you're still going to feel pain for a wee while yet Brenda, after all Buffy was with you a long time. As you know it does get better eventually but you never forget them and you remember all the good times and the fun you had with them. My boys are flat out now, sound asleep after a lovely run in a stubble field before tea!

Take care,

Kat xx

Beautiful sponged scene again Brenda. I love this work !

I experienced long mourning periods for each of my furry friends that have gone to kitty heaven. I still think about all three of them, but the pain eases with time, give yourself lots of it. Take care, Shirleyx
